The pot industry is filled with high-flying stocks, overbought companies, and outright scams. Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
I think we’ll find our way out of the forest, thank you very much.
I wonder how such companies would compare to Pets.com from the 1990s, or Enron, or even WorldCom, for that matter.

The Cycle Saving Home Buyers $3,000 Per Year Just Ran Out Of Fuel / Housing-Market / US Housing

Home buyers in every city and state have been benefiting from a powerful financial cycle for almost five years. Most people are not aware of this cycle, but it has lowered the average monthly mortgage payment for home buyers on a national basis by about $250 per month since the end of 2013.
The interest rate cycle in question is one of "yield curve spread" expansion and compression, with yield curve spreads being the difference between long term and short term interest rates. This interest rate spread has been going through a compression phase in its ongoing cycle, meaning that the gap between long term interest rates and short term interest rates has been falling sharply in recent years.

Gold Stocks are Not Close to Bottom / Commodities / Gold and Silver Stocks 2018

It has been a rough year for gold stock investors.
Since Gold failed to break to the upside and the US Dollar bottomed, gold stocks have been in a strong downtrend. In September they hit two and a half year lows.
The oversold condition since then has been corrected but that rebound has been quite weak.
Evidence of that can be seen in the GDX advance decline (A/D) line (an important breadth indicator) which is showing a negative divergence and hit a new low on Wednesday.

CareDx, Inc (CDNA) jumped $1.56 to $26.11 on over $1 million shares traded Wednesday, more than 1 1/2 times its average volume. The transplant diagnostics company is scheduled to report third quarter results on November 8. The move popped the stock out of a month-long coiling pattern. A move through the October 1 high near $19.50 could accelerate the stock towards the channel top in the high-$30's.

Since the murder of Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, oil prices have plunged by 11.92%. Just today, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) shed 4.56%. At present, WTI is trading at $66.05/bbl. That’s well below the high for the past year of $76.90. It’s also well below my forecast for the year’s end price of $75/bbl.
To shed some light on what might be driving the crude oil market, let’s use the flickering candle of the economics of production. The economic production rate for oil is determined by the following equation: P - V = MC, where P is the current market price of a barrel of oil, V is the present value of a barrel of reserves, and MC is the marginal recovery cost of a barrel of oil.
