UK Savings Interest Rates Surprise as 1 Year Bonds Reach Two-year High / Personal_Finance / Savings Accounts
The latest data from Moneyfacts.co.uk can reveal that the savings market has improved significantly over the past year, so much so that both average rates and table-topping Best Buy deals beat the rates seen around two years ago.
Savers should start to notice better rates in the market overall, as rate rises have outweighed cuts for 17 consecutive months, with Moneyfacts.co.uk recording 115 rate rises and 44 rate cuts in May. This is in stark contrast to two years ago, as savings cuts (156) outweighed rises (18) during May 2016.

Gold and Silver Price Setting Up for A Sleeper Breakout / Commodities / Gold and Silver 2018
As the world continues to see economic improvements, specifically within the US and major global markets, Gold and Silver are relegated to an after-thought by investors. Why consider Gold or Silver when the NASDAQ or S&P leaders are rallying 2%+ per week?
Well, the recent G7 meeting and President Trump’s meeting with Kim Jung Un in Singapore may spark a little interest in these shiny metals as they setup a “rope-a-dope breakout” for those not paying attention.

Tesla Stock Analysis / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
About three or four weeks ago TSLA was getting a lot of negative feedback from the fundamentals perspective so I showed some charts from the Chartology perspective to see how things would play. Would the fundamentals win out or would the Chartology win.
This first chart is a short term daily look which shows the rectangle that was building out with price action trading at the bottom rail when I posted this chart. I gave two price objectives based on the height of the rectangle. If the rectangle broke to the downside the minimum price objective we could expect would be 246 and if the rectangle was going to be consolidation pattern to the upside the minimum price objective we could expect was at 345 which was hit today.

The Dangers of Investing Based on Phony Government Statistics / Economics / Economic Statistics
President Donald Trump recently took to Twitter to boast, “The U.S. has an increased economic value of more than 7 Trillion Dollars since the Election. May be the best economy in the history of our country. Record Jobs numbers. Nice!”
“We ran out of words to describe how good the jobs numbers are,” reported Neil Irwin of the New York Times, amplified in a Trump retweet.
If you believe the headline numbers, joblessness is at a generational low with the economy booming.

Gold vs. Stocks: Ratios Do Not Imply Correlation / Commodities / Gold and Silver 2018
There is considerable extensive research and lots of articles written about gold vs. stocks. Sometimes, that is done in order to support or justify the argument that stocks are a better, long-term investment than gold. And the results seem to indicate that.
Except that gold is not an investment.
Gold is real money and a ‘store of value’. Its fundamentals have nothing to do with the fundamentals for stocks or any other investments. When gold is analyzed as an investment, it gets compared to other investments. And then the analysts start looking for correlations.
Some say that an ‘investment’ in gold is correlated inversely to stocks. But there have been periods of time when both stocks and gold went up or down simultaneously.

G7 Globalist Fear Trump Trade Reset / Politics / Protectionism
President Trump has announced that the U.S. piggy bank will no longer subsidize or be sucked dry to finance a pack of ungrateful allies. Keeping the Socialist EU afloat and putting up with backstabbers like Canada or allowing Japan to roll up massive trade surpluses must stop. The latest rumblings out of the UK are that all efforts are working overtime to nix the will of the Brit public from the Brexit vote. As for corporatists within the United States, the bulwark of opposition to Trump's push to demand reciprocal treatment from "so called" trading partners means an end to the gravy train of plundering American workers and ripping off a viable domestic economy.

Stock Market Eying Extension Into March Highs / Stock-Markets / Stock Markets 2018
High Odds that Low of Year Confirmed
The first week of June was fairly easy to navigate and trade as the bullish pattern took a couple extra weeks of high level consolidation to finally complete its course. It really started with the breakout on Monday June 4 above the key 2742 level to confirm that the bull train is ready for the immediate breakout to accelerate above the prior two weeks’ worth of consolidation range (2742 vs.2700/2675). On the next day, the bull train grinded up a little and held above the 2742 breakout level to trap in more market participants for the high odds of a trend week.

Silver’s Not-so-subtle Outperformance / Commodities / Gold and Silver 2018
Silver soared recently and white metal’s rally was accompanied by a huge volume. Those who are new to the precious metals market will probably immediately view this as bullish as that’s what the classic technical analysis would imply. Silver is not a classic asset, though, and classic measures often don’t apply to it. One way to check the real implications of a given development is to examine the previous cases and see what kind of action followed. That’s what we’re going to do in today’s free analysis. Let’s start with silver’s daily chart.

Stock Market Topping Pattern or Just Consolidation? / Stock-Markets / Stock Markets 2018
Stocks traded within a short-term consolidation on Friday, as investors took some profits off the table following the recent advance. The broad stock market accelerated its uptrend after breaking above three-week-long consolidation a week ago. Will it continue its uptrend or is this some topping pattern ahead of downward reversal? There are still two possible medium-term scenarios.
The U.S. stock market indexes gained 0.1-0.3% on Friday, as they fluctuated following the recent advance. The S&P 500 index remained close to its mid-March local high of around 2,800. It currently trades 3.9% below January's 26th record high of 2,872.87. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.3%, and the technology Nasdaq Composite gained 0.1%, as it was relatively weaker than the broad stock market on Friday.

Is It 2016 Again For U.S. Equities, Emerging Markets And Gold? / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2018
Bears seem to be roaming wherever you look, whether it be in the US equity market, the gold market, and especially in the emerging markets as of recently. Whether I read articles, or the comments to those articles, it seems there is a common expectation that “emerging market dominoes are falling” and it will “cause deleveraging and contagion” across portfolios worldwide.
It certainly sounds like a dire situation is developing in the world today. Does it not?
