Andre Damon writes: Two years after the arrest of Bernard Madoff, ample evidence has emerged that a substantial number of major financial institutions profited from and knowingly facilitated his Ponzi scheme.
Irving H. Picard, the trustee for the investors who were defrauded by Madoff, filed a lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase on December 2 alleging that the bank knew that Madoff’s transactions were fraudulent but continued doing business with him.

U.S. Companies Hoarding $1.93 Trillion in Cash / Companies / Corporate News
Don Miller writes: U.S. corporations are piling up cash at the fastest rate in half a century. But instead of signaling a new wave of spending, that cash pile may mean tough times ahead.
Non-financial companies in the United States had stacked up $1.93 trillion in cash and other liquid assets at the end of September, up from $1.8 trillion at the end of June, the U.S. Federal Reserve said Thursday. Cash made up 7.4% of the companies' total assets -the largest chunk since 1959.

Dell Compellent Deal Shows the Sky is the Limit for Cloud-Computing M&A / Companies / Tech Stocks
In an indication of how far cloud computing has come - and more importantly where it's headed - tech companies have committed some $5 billion to cloud-related mergers and acquisitions (M&A) since mid-April.
Dell Inc. (Nasdaq: DELL) on Monday made the latest move - snatching up data storage company Compellent Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: CML) for $960 million in cash. The acquisition will help Dell expand its offerings of data-center products - cloud computing.
