The Fed is Engineering Barack Obama’s Re-Election Campaign / ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election 2012
Mitt Romney has just rolled up back to back victories in the Nevada and Florida primaries, and his path to the Republican nomination looks to be inevitable. Republicans are mostly basing their voting decisions upon opinion polls showing Romney has the best chance of defeating President Barack Obama in the Nov 6th presidential election. According to the latest Gallup poll, both Obama and Romney have equal support of 48% of the US-electorate, and if correct, more than a billion dollars worth of campaign and PAC ads will swamp the media outlets, in order to try an influence the decisions of less than 5% of undecided voters.

Ron Paul Needs to Escape His Libertarian Handlers for Chance of Winning Republican Nomination / ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election 2012
If Ron Paul’s libertarian handlers and support base could escape their ideology, Ron Paul could be much better positioned to win the Republican nomination.
Here are some suggestions.

How Mitt Romney's Bain Career Will Inflame the Class Warfare Debate / ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election 2012
Shah Gilani writes: Last Wednesday a Pew Research Center poll revealed that 66% of respondents think class conflict in American society is "strong" to "very strong."
Now that Mitt Romney is increasingly likely to be the Republican challenger to Democrat Barack Obama this November, that same divide is likely to become even more inflamed.

How Super PACs Are Choosing Your Next President / ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election 2012
David Zeiler writes: It's no secret that the rich use their money to influence the ballot, but in this year's election cycle they have created a new, more insidious way to do it.
They are called super PACs and they are choosing your next President.

The Mitt Romney Myth, He's not electable, Ron Paul is / ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election 2012
Mark R. Crovelli writes: Republicans sure have short memories. It was just four years ago that they went to the polls in the primaries and elected the most "moderate" and "electable" candidate they could find in the hope that they had a man who was palatable to the general population. Their reward for their unprincipled pragmatism was an ass-kicking in the general election that few Americans will ever forget. John McCain and Sarah Palin certainly won’t forget it.

Ron Paul, America’s Last Chance / ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election 2012
America has one last chance, and it is a very slim one. Americans can elect Ron Paul President, or they can descend into tyranny.
Why is Ron Paul America’s last chance?
Because he is the only candidate who is not owned lock, stock, and barrel by the military-security complex, Wall Street, and the Israel Lobby.

Santorum To Economic Collapse / ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election 2012
Dave Trotter writes: And now, a completely obvious prediction: Rick Santorum, the latest "anybody but Romney" Flavor of the Month, will see his numbers collapse unceremoniously before the South Carolina primary – just like Bachmann, Perry, Cain, and Gingrich before him.

“GAME ON:” Media Fostered US Presidential Election Circus Moves North / ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election 2012
“Game On” was Rick Santorum’s first comment after his “surge” was considered successful with a mere 30,000 votes in Ioway. He inadvertently gave the game away by calling it a game—which is what it is.
Only this game is not just about politics but about the media. Pseudo events like this are what the media lives for: it provides something for them to do, and to feel important while doing it. It creates airtime for endless punditry, and a spectacle to liven up a dull Iowa winter.

An Investor's Guide to the 2012 Iowa Caucuses / ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election 2012
Martin Hutchinson writes: Whether you see it as an example of direct democracy in action or an over-hyped media circus, there's no question that the Iowa caucuses will influence this year's presidential election.
Traditionally, the top three finishers in the Iowa caucuses have had the best shot at securing the Republican nomination for president. And while U.S. President Barack Obama has enjoyed a bit of a surge in the polls recently, he's far from a lock to win a second term.

Newt Gingrich the Best Man to Kill off a Dieing Empire / ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election 2012
The Daily Reckoning has no voice in the US presidential elections. But we will nevertheless declare a preference. Were he to toss his hat in the ring, we would line up behind former Senator Jon Corzine. The ex-Goldman chief has the experience that America needs. He has been a front-runner in politics…and in the world of finance, what he doesn’t know about front running is probably not worth knowing. Presuming, however, that Corzine will be too busy fending off lawsuits or jail sentences, our next choice is Republican Newt Gingrich. Of course, we find him completely repulsive, who wouldn’t? But we believe he’s the man of the hour. History needs him, to carry on the work of Bush and Obama, hustling the great nation on its way to Hell.

Gary Johnson, The Best Presidential Candidate No One’s Heard Of / ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election
Gary Johnson is running for the Republican nomination for president. If you didn’t know that, you’re not alone. Precious few people do. He is the longest of long shots, with little money, a bare-bones grassroots organization and parsimonious media coverage, to say the least. He has had to fight through the indignity of being uninvited to most of the candidates’ debates. When polls are taken about voters’ choices, his name is often simply omitted from the list, lending him little chance to develop support momentum.

Is It Immoral to Vote for Obama? / ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election
I don’t like mixing politics with morality, but sometimes it’s unavoidable. What I mean is this: how can anyone cast a ballot for a man who they know will continue to kill people in other countries merely to advance US policy objectives? That’s the question people need to ask themselves.

Corporate Donations and the 2012 U.S. Presidential Elections / ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election
Kevin Zeese writes: The 2012 presidential election promises to have the most anonymous campaign donations in U.S. history. Unless the Obama administration acts, unknown corporate and wealthy interests will fund massive advertising campaigns against and for candidates but the voters will not know who they are or their real agenda. The Obama administration can prevent this further corruption of U.S. democracy by taking two steps, neither of which requires action by Congress.

Voters Frustrated With U.S. Economy Turn to Republicans in Midterm Elections / ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election
Kerri Shannon writes: Republicans predicted huge gains before today's (Tuesday) midterm elections, as voters fueled by frustration over the struggling U.S. economy are eager for change in Washington.
A poll in The Wall Street Journal asking voters which party they hoped would be in charge gave the GOP a six-point edge of 49% to 43%. About half of the Republican voters said frustration and protest over Democratic policies fueled their election decisions.

Judgement Day for Barack Obama on November 2nd, “Let the landslide begin” / ElectionOracle / US Congressional Elections
Barack Obama rode into office in January, 2008 on a wave of optimism. By the time the ballots are counted in Tuesday's midterm elections, Obama's personal approval ratings will have fallen to historic lows and he will be universally recognized as the man who brought ruin on the Democratic party.

U.S. Congressional Elections to Result in Two Years of Gridlock / ElectionOracle / US Congressional Elections
On November 2, Americans will go to the polls and decide which political party will control Congress. It is possible that neither party will. The House is expected to go Republican. The Senate is too close to call.
My favorite race is Dr. Art Robinson's. Human Events, the conservative website, calls his race one of the top ten potential upsets in the House.

Corporate Cash Floods US Congressional Elections / ElectionOracle / US Congressional Elections
Big business and the wealthy are pouring unprecedented sums of money into the US congressional elections, according to data reported in the media over the past several days. While the lion’s share of the money is going to candidates of the Republican Party, Democrats are also raking in millions, underscoring the status of both parties as political instruments of the financial aristocracy.
