Stock Index Trend Trade Setups for the SP500 & NASDAQ / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
Over the past few weeks, we have been writing about our US major price predictions for the beginning of 2018 and how they have played out. If you have been following our analysis, you have already learned that we predicted a 3~5% price increase in early January 2018 for most of the US major equity indexes as well as a period of brief stagnation near the middle of February. Today, we are going to revisit these predictions to attempt to provide you with our updated price expectations.
As you read this article and review our analysis, please keep in mind that we are showing you an advanced price modeling system that is capable of learning from historical price activity as well as illustrating the highest probability outcomes of price based on its analysis of key “genomic” price patters and technical patterns. The reason this is so important to understand is that we are illustrating 2~3+ month in advance based on our modeling systems interpretation of price action. Imagine having the ability to predict 2 to 3 months in advance with a relatively high degree of accuracy for any stock symbol you like? This is a very powerful analytical modeling system and we are happy to be sharing this research with our readers.

Tuesday morning in our video forecast we warned that cycles were pointing to lower prices today. With price reaching the 2800 level on the SPX (resistance) and stocks trading in extreme overbought conditions with the morning gap higher this pullback has played out almost perfectly today.

National Stock Trading is Different From International / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
In this present day trading world, there are two types of trading available for the welfare of share traders. One is within the country; another one is trading with international countries. A person could trade with one thousand five hundred countries with his money and earn a lot of money. Because in a country currency value is less, when compared to US dollars at the same time, that person is high valued currency country, he would be in a position to earn more money from his country, for the earning more revenue purpose he has to register with the international trading company, which would be providing assistance to trade with all countries. In that case, a person could be in a position to invest a small amount of his country money and take back huge amount from the country which share is purchased. In general calculation is very important in investing money with the other countries. Because, in case the country is poor country will not support the trade market, and it would be taking all the share holders money for the government.

SPX Morphs and Extends / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
SPX may be working on its final probe marginally higher than 2564.11. I had to change my Elliott Wave structure to accommodate the new high. This was my alternate view which explains the spike high off the bottom of Wave [iv]. Wave v appears to be expanding, which is typical of this pattern.

SPX Challenging its Cycle Top / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
SPX is challenging its 2-hour Cycle Top at 2296.60. This move is corrective and appears to be a retracement with the added feature of filling the gap left on January 30. Wave 2 reversals often come off the Cycle Top resistance, so this is not abnormal. This is the 43rd hour from the 2300.99 top. It strongly suggests a reversal may ensue thin the current hour.

Dow Busts Through 20k Triggering Speculative Short at Stock Market New All Time High / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading

Stock Market Trading Patience Pays Off with CHK Using Momentum Reversals / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
One of the key tenants of my Momentum Reversal trading is “waiting for the right trigger/event and getting in early”. I find this is one of the most difficult aspects for most clients to understand and master. Therefore, in an attempt to further illustrate some components of my thinking and strategy, I have put together these examples to try to help people understand these techniques.

SPX has made a daily reversal / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
SPX has performed a daily reversal by retracing the decline to its cycle Top resistance at 2260.79. It may do a smaller degree retracement to 2253.00 before going lower. The next stop may be the 50-day Moving Average at 2194.98. It may decline past that level in order to do a retest from below.

The Power of Price Spikes On Intraday Charts / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
Last week ended on a very positive note for those who follow and trade filtered price spikes.
What is a filtered price spike? In short, I scan pre-market, and post-market trading hours’ price charts of SPY, QQQ, IWM, GLD, and GDX for a very special odd tick in the market which creates a spike on the chart.
These spikes could be to the upside or downside, does not matter. What they tell me is the direction which the market (market makers) are going to try and move the market in then next 48 hours.

Stock Market VIX Strategy, Maximum Profits $ / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
Proshares UVXY 2x ETF
Everyone wants to find ways to maximize profits and minimize losses. That's part of the game in trading the market. I would consider this an extremely high risk/high reward trade.

Swing Trading the Nasdaq QQQ's / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
My strategy is to time the market using the QQQ's which is an exchange-traded fund based on the Nasdaq-100. Powershares QQQ's etf tracks the market-cap-weighted Nasdaq-100 index which is 100 of the largest non-financial stocks in the Nasdaq Composite Index.
I would suggest inexperienced traders stick to using the 1 for 1 vehicle and not the leveraged etf's such as TQQQ's or SQQQ's. These leveraged etf's are meant for shorter time frame trades, not long term. They tend to lose value over time, they are not buy and hold strategy's.

Why Stock Market Price Spikes Are Actually Your Friend / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
I could go on in detail about why and what price spikes provide us short term trades with, and I will in a future article and video. Keeping things short and simple we will let the charts to the speaking for now because they paint a very clear picture of what they do and how quickly we should expect our profit targets to be reached.
The chart below shows the recent price spikes in the SPY. These spikes come and go, meaning some months we may only see a couple, and other months we see 10-20 of these incredible momentum trading opportunities.

NASDAQ ETF QQQ / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
We have been expecting a top in equity indices for the last two weeks. We did see the market start down last week after the previous Friday's option expiration. A change of trend after option expiration is a common (but not guaranteed) occurrence. So far the pullback isn't enough to concern the bulls or get the bears excited but there are other signals warning of a pending correction in equities. One of those is volume in the NASDAQ ETF QQQ.

SPX Keeping a Bearish Profile / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
Although SPX hasn’t crossed below the 50-day Moving Average at 2095.05, it hasn’t made any progress higher, either. This increases the probability of a Diamond formation, where the breakout is down. Diamond formations usually precede an average decline of 20% from the lower trendline, suggesting a target near 1656.00. The Diamond may supersede the Orthodox Broadening Top, so I may have to alter the Wave structure should that happen. Tomorrow is the Pivot day.

Dow Stock Index Decline / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
Equities markets have a tendency to change direction following options expiration. Given equities rallied into the end of last week, a downturn can now be expected. It may have started last Friday or perhaps markets will sneak in one final rally on "hope" of a positive outcome from this week's meeting of European leaders on the Greece problem. Either way, a decline is expected. The only question is "how long will it last?"

Trade Secret For being Positioned to Profit When Stocks Fall / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
MoneyMorning.com Shah Gilani writes: I’ve been telling you about market “Disruptors” for several weeks now, and showing how these “agent-of-change” catalysts are the trigger points for some of the greatest profit opportunities you’ll find.
But that’s only part of the message I’ve been emphasizing to you in our get-togethers here.
I’ve also urged you to keep your eyes open for all profit opportunities – on both the “long” side of the market… as well as on the “short” side.

SPX Reaches 61.8% Retracement / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
SPX reached a high of 2088.25, just 9 ticks beneath the 61.8% retracement level and 65 ticks from the point at which Wave v equals Wave I (2088.80). It appears to be about to cross beneath Intermediate-term support/resistance at 2085.85. The likelihood of the retracement being complete is very high. No buy signal was given, so the only thing I might add is to add to any short positions at this time. This retracement was stronger than expected, but considering the end of the quarter is almost here, it makes sense that this rally could be engineered for large investors to take profits at the expense of retail investors.

The Stocks Dow Jones Industrial Average Index: a Fata Morgana / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) Index is the only stock market index that covers both the second and the third industrial revolution. Calculating share indexes such as the Dow Jones Industrial Average and showing this index in a historical graph is a useful way to show which phase the industrial revolution is in. Changes in the DJIA shares basket, changes in the formula and stock splits during the take-off phase and acceleration phase of industrial revolutions are perfect transition-indicators. The similarities of these indicators during the last two revolutions are fascinating, but also a reason for concern. In fact the graph of the DJIA is a classic example of fictional truth, a fata morgana.

Dow Jones Stocks Index - A Hoax or Not A Hoax, That's the Question / Stock-Markets / Stock Index Trading
After intensive consultation with his advisors, President Obama has decided to modify the formula used for calculating the Dow Jones Index. On January 1, 2015 the Dow Divisor will be changed to 30. The result of this change will be that the Dow Jones Index drops from the current 16532 points to about 85.8 points. The underlying value of the 30 component stocks of course remains unchanged. With this modification to the formula Obama aims to make the large Dow fluctuations of recent decennia a thing of the past, and hopes that this will bring stability to the stock market. Banks, major investors and pension funds welcome this change in the Dow Jones Index formula.
