Katie Hopkins darling of the far right latest tweets are alluding to her preparing to make the leap from UKIP to the Brexit Party. After all UKIP effectively died in the local elections, so a case of mission accomplished for the Trojan Horse that are Katie Hopkins and Tommy Robinson, who successfully turned what should have been a UKIP local elections victory in the wake of Westminster Brexit chaos into an even worse performance than that of the Tories, by losing more than 80% of their councilors to end the night down 145 councilors with just 31 left. A TOTAL DISASTER!
Which should not come as much surprise to those who follow my analysis as I forewarned what to expect in electoral terms of the impact of Trojan Horse right win fanatics for the fundamental fact is that elections are won at the margins and not by preaching extreme messages to die hard supporters as they would have voted for UKIP regardless.

Now, good luck with those protests, it’s still a free country, in name at least. But boy oh boy, would you guys miss the point. Last week's General Election in the United Kingdom was a disaster for the new conservative government of Prime Minster Theresa May. Having called the unnecessary "snap" elections in order to strengthen her political hand, the result actually reduced the number of seats held by the conservatives and delivered large gains to the opposition Labour party, which had seemed in disarray just a few months ago. Although she has announced no plans to step down, her position has been severely weakened, possibly fatally. More pointedly, the UK's hand in negotiating favorable Brexit terms has eroded substantially. Besides creating significant ramifications for the European and global economy, the election also provides important lessons for the potential state of American politics.

Is it sheer hubris, or is it just incompetence? It’s a question often asked when it comes to politics. And regularly, the answer is both. Still, what the ruling British political class has put on display recently seems to exist in a category all its own. Less than a year go, then-PM David Cameron lost the Brexit referendum that he called himself and was dead sure he would win by a landslide.
His successor Theresa May, Cameron’s Home Secretary and a staunch Remain advocate, lost the Brexit vote as much as her PM did, but stayed on, was promoted, and acted for 11 months like Downing Street 10 was hers by Divine Decree. Then she did the exact same thing Cameron did: she looked at polling numbers and decided to go for the jugular: more power through a snap vote.

On November 3, the High Court of England and Wales ruled the Brexit vote does not let the prime minister officially notify the EU of the UK's intent to withdraw. Rather, Parliament must authorize the prime minister’s actions.

Britain's mainstream and alternative political parties, including UKIP and Scotland's SNP are two powerful players responding and reacting to a host of factors changing the country. In the wake of the Scottish indepedendence referendum the problem, threat – or simple reality of regional and nationalist political forces breaking up the previous two-party (and already three-party) system of power in a united national state are unstoppable. Wales is pushing for more and further devolution of powers from Westminster and England. The northern regions of England are doing the same. Despite being beaten in the September referendum, the SNP now speaks and acts for Scotland and if recent opinion polls are right, it has a 20-point lead in voting intentions against the Labour party with its "traditional" 41 safe seats in Scotland, able to turn the UK Labour party into the English Labour party at the coming May 2103 general elections.

Last week, the unelected European Commission demanded that the United Kingdom pay an additional $2.8 billion to fund the European Union. The new charges resulted from the fact that the British economy had grown faster than had been expected in the past year. The demand sparked outrage from Great Britain's Prime Minister, David Cameron, and media, particularly as France and Germany would receive rebates, financed largely by the new funds being demanded from the UK. Britain's 30 billion pounds Nuclear insurance policy - Trident II / Politics / UK Politics

The UK Labour government led by Tony Blair has revealed plans for the successor to the Trident submarine nuclear deterrent. The plan is for 3 smaller nuclear submarines, in some 20 years time. The initial estimate is for £20 billion, but given the history of defence spending over-runs this could easily reach £30 billion, ($60 billions). Additionally there would be running costs of at least £1 billion.

UK Labour Party suffers lowest poll readings since 1987 because of Iraq war / Politics / UK Politics

According to the Guardian/ICM poll published today. Labour's support drops to 29%, as the lowest reading since Margaret Thatchers landslide in 1987 ! The Conservatives having climbed to 39%, with the Liberal Democrats third on 22%.
This is on the back of recent coverage of the Military in both the US and UK contemplating withdrawal from a worsening situation in Iraq, as this is seen by most of the UK electorate as Tony Blair's war, as another recent polls results showed that 72 per cent said that Tony Blair's support for George Bush calls into question his political judgement, and 62 per cent believe that British troops should be withdrawn from Iraq as soon as possible with a further 72 per cent believing that the war in Iraq is unwinnable.
