By: Boris_Dzhingarov

Funding is a huge challenge for many entrepreneurs, especially those that are now starting their business journey. It does not really matter what option is considered since it is a certainty that everything will be complicated. You want to invest like a fund manager and even if you are really good, when you launch your own business, it is a certainty that everything will become subjective to some degree. That is why bootstrapping a business is normally a failure.

IBB (Biotech ETF) Baby Bull Market / Companies / BioTech

By: Gary_Savage

Here we go again. Remember when I warned traders not to short the baby bull in miners and exhorted them to not lose their position because surprises would come to the upside? Needless to say, many ignored that advice and they cost themselves dearly.

Now we have a second baby bull just getting started in Biotech. It still has a long ways to go. Yet I’m seeing some traders making the same mistakes again.

SunEdison Green Power Bankruptcy Inevitability / Companies / Solar Energy

By: BATR

For all those sun baked brains that see salvation in renewable nirvana, the imminent demise of SunEdison is the latest case that creative green economics is the path to insolvency. After studying the tangled web of cross collateralization and rehypothecation of debt, the WSJ announcement is inevitable, SunEdison Said to Be Preparing to File for Bankruptcy. “Solar-energy company SunEdison Inc. plans to file for bankruptcy protection in coming weeks, a dramatic about-face for a company whose market value stood at nearly $10 billion in July.”

Seven Small-Cap Biotech Stocks on the Upswing 2016 / Companies / BioTech

By: TLSReport

Biotech stocks—and the stock market in general—took a dive at the beginning of 2016, headed down on macroeconomic factors such as financial instability in China. The Life Sciences Report's 2016 Small-Cap Biotech Watchlist was not immune to that movement, heading into negative territory almost from the moment the selected companies were introduced. But as the market has shown signs of rebounding, so too has the Watchlist.

Let's Make the Banks Responsible / Companies / Banksters

By: Rodney_Johnson

It’s no secret I can’t stand most banks, particularly Bank of America. The institution is doing its best to get rid of any customer service that ever existed (fewer tellers, pushing clients to online services, etc.) while airing sappy ads about how much they care. Care about what? Their bonuses? Certainly not their customers.

But even with my long-standing grudge against B of A, I’m not joining the chorus calling for greatly increased regulation or busting them up along with the other big banks.

By: BATR

What exactly is a public utility? If you listen to the government officials in New York State, a foreign company is just dandy and will qualify from the Public Service Commission as a provider of electricity. While this may be old news, the continued adverse fallout from foreign ownership can no longer be flittered away. The latest approval of rate increases goes as an example of how the entire political favoritism system operates. The Buffalo N.Y. News reports, You’re likely to see higher electric bills soon.

The Great Corporate Earnngs Fraud / Companies / Corporate Earnings

By: James_Quinn

"What are the odds that people will make smart decisions about money if they don't need to make smart decisions -- if they can get rich making dumb decisions? The incentives on Wall Street were all wrong; they're still all wrong." - Michael Lewis, The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine

Corporate earnings reports for the fourth quarter are pretty much in the books. The deception, falsification, accounting manipulation, and propaganda utilized by mega-corporations and their compliant corporate media mouthpieces has been outrageously blatant. It reeks of desperation as the Wall Street shysters attempt to extract the last dollar from their muppet clients before this house of cards collapses.

Look North for Value-Priced Growth in Healthcare Biotech Stocks / Companies / BioTech

By: TLSReport

Canada is a wellspring for natural resources and the industries built around them. But the country also encompasses healthcare-related businesses that are growing, generating cash flow and flourishing. Bruce Campbell of StoneCastle Investment Management has managed both U.S. and Canadian portfolios, and he knows both spheres. As a hedge fund and mutual fund manager concentrating on Canadian companies, he has made a specialty in acquisitions of cash-generating healthcare companies. In this interview with The Life Sciences Report, Campbell discusses seven small-cap growth names, all of which have reached share-price levels that do not reflect their capacity to grow. Some may offer rare opportunities to buy at risk-mitigated value prices.

This Is Really Bad For Banks / Companies / Credit Crisis 2016
