Putin’s “Endgame” in Syria / Politics / Russia
Russia doesn’t want to fight a war with Turkey, so Russian generals devised a simple, but effective plan to discourage Turkey from taking any action that could lead to a clash between the two nations.
Last week, Russian warplanes intruded into Turkish airspace twice. Both incidents caused consternation in Ankara and send Turkish leaders into a furor. On both occasions, officials in Moscow politely apologized for the incursions claiming they were unintentional (“navigational errors”) and that they would try to avoid similar intrusions in the future.

The Real Reason for the Refugee Crisis You Won’t Hear About in the Media / Politics / Syria
By Nick Giambruno
There’s a meme going around that the refugee crisis in Europe (the largest since World War II) is part of a secret plot to subvert the West.
I completely understand why the locals in any country wouldn’t be happy about waves of foreigners pouring in. Especially if they’re poor, unskilled, and not likely to assimilate.

How Our Aversion To Change Leads Us Into Danger / Politics / Social Issues
The deeply embedded, genetically determined aversion -or resistance- to change that we are all born with is an important survival tactic. Since change equals potential danger, our aversion to it keeps us out of danger.
We are ‘programmed’ to prefer familiar surroundings, to first look at what we recognize, and to ignore what we do not until we feel comfortable enough about what we do know.

Why the Iran Nuclear Deal Will Never Achieve Peace in the Middle East / Politics / Middle East
The latest development that the experts claim is undermining the Iran deal is Russia’s move to cement its alliance with Iran in Syria during last week’s meeting of 200 world leaders.
The Iran Nuclear Agreement is good for Middle East peace but neither the agreement nor the international unity forged in Vienna will be able to resolve the deep-rooted regional problems in the region.

Putin’s Lightning War in Syria / Politics / Syria
For more than a year, the United States has been playing patty-cake with an army of homicidal maniacs who call themselves ISIS. On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he’d had enough of Washington’s song-and-dance and was planning to bring a little Russian justice to the terrorist militias that had killed 225,000 Syrians and ripped the country to shreds. In language that could not be more explicit, Putin said to the General Assembly: “We can no longer tolerate the currents state of affairs in the world”. Less than 48 hours later, Russian bombers were raining down precision-guided munitions on terrorist strongholds across western Syria sending the jihadi vermin scrambling for cover.

Theresa May Declares War on Immigration - Conference Speech Full Transcript / Politics / Immigration
“Thank you, Arminka, Baroness Helic, for that incredible, personal story. From Bosnia to Britain, from arriving here as a refugee to serving the public in government and in the House of Lords, your story is an inspiration to us all. So, on behalf of everybody here today, thank you.
Before I begin, I’m sure I speak for everyone at Conference when I say that our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and colleagues of Police Constable David Phillips who was killed in the line of duty in the small hours of yesterday morning. PC Phillips, who served with Merseyside Police, leaves behind a loving wife, Jennifer, and two young daughters, Abigail and Sophie.

Is Russia Plotting To Bring Down OPEC? / Politics / Crude Oil
President Putin's recent moves in the Middle East—to shore up Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria through deployment of combat aircraft, equipment, and manpower and build-out of air-, naval-, and ground-force bases, and the agreement in the last week with Iran, Iraq, and Syria on intelligence and security cooperation—could contribute to Russian efforts to combat the myriad negative pressures on Russia's vital energy industry.Read full article... Kunduz Afghanistan’s Hospital Bombing - Pentagon Lies Covering Up Its Latest War Crime / Politics / US Military
US warplanes deliberately and maliciously terror bombed Kunduz, Afghanistan’s hospital, the only one in the area - striking it multiple times for over an hour, despite knowing it was not involved in ongoing fighting in the city.
The death toll stands at 22, dozens more injured, including Doctors Without Borders (MSF) physicians, other medical staff and patients. Those unable to be moved were immolated in their beds.
US General in charge of Pentagon operations in Afghanistan John F. Campbell lied, claiming the Kunduz hospital was “accidentally struck.”

Redesigning Internet and Facebook to Explore Their Full Potentialities... / Politics / Internet
... and Empower the Humanity with Knowledge for Finding Solutions for Its Problems
Internet and Social Medias have reached their saturation point under their existing framework of data sharing and communications. At the same time, they are using only less than five per cent of their actual potentialities for their over-dependence on Data. Here the causalities are of course Knowledge, Visions and Dreams.

We’re Not Nearly As Worried About The Middle East As We should Be / Politics / Middle East
What’s the opposite of a gift that keeps on giving? A mistake that keeps metastasizing.
Which pretty much sums up the US role in the Middle East. Beginning with the CIA’s 1953 overthrow of Iran’s democratically elected president and continuing through the multiple regime changes and invasions of recent years, various American governments have behaved like they both understood that region and had the power to mold it into a docile client that pumped oil, suppressed dissent and otherwise caused no trouble.

The Social Challenge to Find Humanity in Capitalism / Politics / Social Issues
Paul Tudor Jones, Founder of Tudor Investment Corp., joined hosts Stephanie Ruhle and David Westin for the debut of Bloomberg TV's new flagship morning program, Bloomberg <GO>. He discussed how the Federal Reserve is approaching monetary policy, his Just Capital initiative, income inequality, and the need for humanity in capitalism.
On a major macro shift in the market, Jones said: "I think for the first time since Volcker, probably, you see the Fed managing, in my mind, they're managing for the balance sheet to take out the tail risk associated, and associated with expanding debt virtually globally, and not to mention our federal debt. I think it points to a choppier market."

Ron Paul - I Wish Nobody Was Bombing Syria / Politics / Syria
The US regime change policy for Syria has been a catastrophe. More than 200,000 killed and an entire country reduced to rubble at least partly because President Obama decided that "Assad has lost his legitimacy." How is it that the president of a country 6,000 miles away has the authority to decide whether another leader belongs in office or not? What if Rouhani in Iran decided that Obama had lost his legitimacy for killing a number of American citizens by drone without charge or trial? Would we accept that?

We Are Nothing But Cattle In An Industrial Processing Facility / Politics / Social Issues
There is a growing divide in the country and day by day it grows deeper and more irrevocable. All around us we see the signs, if we look for them, of decay and collapse built into the very system itself.
If you reward indolence, it will become the norm, if we practice wholesale slaughter from the womb to a foreign wedding party others will take the cue. If we celebrate slatterns and degenerates and ridicule the wholesome and traditional we will wind up with more of one and less of another.

The Killer Ape, Human Evolution, Artificial Intelligence and Extinction End Game / Politics / Evolution
Some 7 million years ago our human ancestors split from the Apes that would go on to become our closest living relative the Chimpanzee. For the next 5 million years our ancestors would have physically looked little different to modern Chimpanzees as well as in terms of behaviour and circumstances as there was a very gradual process of evolution of physical abilities such as walking upright in addition to still being good at climbing trees. Even as recently as 2 million years ago, some 3 million years into the age of the Australopithecine's, they would not have looked that different to modern Chimpanzees, living a precariously frightened existence constantly falling victim to predators, and where brains were of comparable size to Chimpanzees, about 1/3rd the cranial capacity of modern man.

More U.S. Municipal Bankruptcies on the Way / Politics / US Debt
Even to the casual observer, the financial condition of government budgets are under severe stress. Taxes have gone up consistently and have outpaced any meager adjustments in income for most taxpayers. No one can reasonably expect that municipal financing is assured by simply raising assessments and rates to keep their bloated bureaucracies solvent. Since the middle class has never recovered from the money centered meltdown, the average community struggles with diminished resources.

Speaker Boehner Readies Final Sellout As Debt Ceiling Debacle Looms / Politics / US Debt
It's campaign season, and that means non-stop media coverage of candidate polls, quips, gaffes, tweets, emails, controversies, lies, and scandals. It all makes for a good soap opera. Unfortunately, it's almost all irrelevant in the big picture.
The media prefer to focus on the sideshow rather than the 800-pound gorilla in the room: the looming debt crisis. Nothing that comes out of a pundit's mouth or a Hillary Clinton email will close the $210 trillion long-term fiscal gap the U.S. now faces.

Question to Millennials: Why Are You Not Mad as Hell Yet? / Politics / Student Finances
Millennials, why are you not angry about ...
- Having to pay Social Security when it won't be there for you.
- Paying exorbitant taxes for public pension handouts and boomer retirements at age 50 for which you receive negative benefits.
- Obamacare for which you overpay to support the obese and the nicotine addicts.
- Enormous student debt burdens for which you received little benefit.
I ask this in response to an email I received from Rich Renza who writes ...
