Apple Stock Hopes to Turn Liquidmetal Into Gold / Companies / Tech Stocks
By: Money_Morning
David Zeiler writes:
Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) loves to think of lucrative new uses for other people's bright ideas.
For instance, the original iPod wouldn't have been possible without Toshiba's innovative 1.8-inch hard drive.
And when Steve Jobs learned about Gorilla Glass in 2006, he convinced Corning to revive the largely unused technology so Apple could put it in the iPhone.

Apple Stock Price Consolidating Gains / Companies / Tech Stocks
By: Mike_Paulenoff
Since it hit its post-earnings peak at a point-and-figure print of 618 (off of 555), let's notice that until a few minutes ago Apple (AAPL) was consolidaing its gains in a high-level area above 607.
However, the triple low at 607 was violated, and sure enough AAPL has followed-through to a print low at 604 so far, but could trade down to 598-596 prior to the conclusion of the corrective period, and my expectation of the emergence of another upleg.

It's a country that boasts:

•The fourth largest population on the planet. It is also one of the youngest (median age is 28).

I'm talking about Indonesia.

Apple Stock Vulnerable / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
By: Mike_Paulenoff
From my technical, point-and-figure chart perspective, it was very disconcerting to see Apple (AAPL) give up its earlier rally gains from 583 to 594, because the ensuing decline wrecked an otherwise promising PF double low at 583.
Since then, the price structure has swooned again to break the double low at 583 with a 582 print. Although AAPL recovered to 585-586 after its marginal new PF low, the fact remains that AAPL has made a new low in a series of lower-PF-lows off of Tuesday's recovery high PF print at 620.

Meanwhile, the Nasdaq was even stronger, riding a tech-stock rally to a gain of nearly 19% - its best yearly start since 1991.
