Advantages of Enrolling in a Retirement Plan / Personal_Finance / Pensions & Retirement

By: Submissions

At some point in life, we all wish to have a happy old age ending in the countryside, free of city hassles and full of tranquility. Retiring is inevitable, and the earlier you start making preparations for the same, the better. Don't you want to have a peaceful home in the woods where your grandchildren would play later? Well, you can buy a home with your current earnings, but how do you ensure financial independence once you hang the boots? Remember, you'll still have bills to pay, and your children may not be around to help at all times. Moreover, they are probably looking up to you and wish they could be like daddy. So, either way, you have to set the pace, you lead first by example, then they'll follow.

What Alexis Kennedy Learned from Launching Cultist Simulator / Personal_Finance / Gaming

By: Sumeet_Manhas

Alexis Kennedy’s Cultist Simulator launched on May 31, 2018 to love-it-or-hate-it reviews and sales of 50,000 copies within the first month. After the launch, Alexis and his business partner Lottie Bevan started to see retaining the momentum for the game as their biggest challenge, with bumps in sales predominantly coming from price markdowns, occasional releases of new content and newfound attention from either streamers playing the game or events on Steam.

Data from the game’s release showed that most of the traffic and attention for the game came from Steam’s home page, “Friend is in game” notifications, and recommendations yielding over 100M impressions over the game’s lifetime.

How to Get Virgin Media Engineers to FIX Hub 3.0 Problems and NOT BS Customers / Personal_Finance / Internet

By: HGR

So your virgin Media Hub 3.0 stops working properly, keeps losing it's settings, and so you get an engineer to come out and fix it.

In this video a HUB 3.0 no longer holds it's settings every time it reboots either switched off or after an update. However, unbelievably and contrary to the experience of every router I had over the past 30 years, the Virgin Media Engineer starts giving me bullshit that the HUB is SUPPOSED to lose it's settings and revert to default each time it is turned off.

What a load of cods wallop!

Ryzen 9 3950X Best UK Custom PC Builder 2020 - Scan.co.uk vs Overclockers.co.uk / Personal_Finance / Technology

By: HGR

Which is Britain's best value for money custom builder for a high spec PC that for early 2020 must be based on AMD's Ryzen 9 3950x, a 16 cores 32 thread Zen 2 7nm CPU that blasts everything else away in the market right now in terms of price vs performance.

So I imagine for most contemplating upgrading their ageing desk systems will be wondering should we go down the risky self build route or let the professionals handle it, which could be especially wise if you have either never built a PC before or it has been many, many years since one last plugged in an athlon into a CPU socket, the last thing you want to do is to experiment with £2000+ worth of kit!

When the UK exits from the European Union (EU), freedom of movement ceases, and EU citizens will not be able to come in the UK to live, work or study under the existing immigration rules – and vice versa.

This means a new immigration system will be needed to enable those wanting to come and contribute to the UK to do so. As was proposed in Brexit debates and is still favoured today by the UK Government, a points-based immigration system is likely.

Consumption of marijuana in the form of tea is far less common. However, experts suggest that this form relieves consumers from some of the most well-known risks of smoking.

It is important, however, to remember that marijuana tea is not a new invention by any means.
