Meet the Leader Who Turned Google Into a “Buy” / Companies / Google
MoneyMorning.com Michael A. Robinson writes: For more than a year now, I have been one of the few analysts saying Google Inc. (Nasdaq: GOOGL) was set for a rally.
In several of our chats I’ve said that with this one stock you get both an ETF on the future and a company that produces great profit margins today.
To be sure, the stock lagged the overall market over the past few months. That’s largely because industry analysts thought Google’s futuristic ambitions would shred profits.

Twitter’s Redemption Earnings Not Enough / Companies / Tech Stocks
Someone in Twitter’s front office is sitting back and watching the company’s stock go up and down, thinking, “Make up your damn mind, Wall Street!” 2015 has already been a wild ride for the social media company. Shares spiked 28.2% in February on the news that the company had a breakout in terms of solving revenue concerns. The stock rode fairly high until April’s earnings report, which once again highlighted the company’s user growth problems. It plummeted 25.5% in a matter of two days. It didn’t help that longtime CEO Dick Costolo resigned midway through the year without any specific plans for the company’s management, giving investors reason to wonder about the future.Read full article... Don’t Be Fooled by the “Quiet Season” for Biotech Stocks / Companies / BioTech
Marc Lichtenfeld writes: My favorite time to work is on weekend mornings before the rest of the house gets up.
I wake up, quietly go down the stairs and turn on the computer. While I’m waiting for it to boot up, I enjoy the peaceful scenery of the marsh outside my living room window. There are always amazing birds out there like sandhill cranes and egrets that are just a few feet from my window.

Should Stock Investors You Buy Microsoft On the Dip? / Companies / Microsoft
Microsoft has had a rocky relationship with investors over the years, especially the last one. If you look at the numbers over the last two years, it looks like the stock has soared with a 48.59% increase. But if you take a look at the last year alone, it’s up only 5.37%. Year to date it’s even worse at 1.79%.To say the company has struggled to stay innovative amid competition with the likes of Apple and Google is an understatement. There’s a cartoon that’s been floating around the internet for years showing two small children representing Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox fighting it out, while another small child representing Windows Explorer is off in the corner eating glue.

We Have Tsipras and Merkel to Thank for This Market-Crushing Investor Profit Play / Companies / Investing 2015
MoneyMorning.com Peter Krauth writes: Greek banks were hanging onto a cliff's edge by their fingernails when Greek and European parliaments and finance ministers debated the future of Greece within Europe.
But less than a week after the referendum that said "όχι!" (No!) to more austerity, Prime Minister Tsipras had already betrayed that vote, proposing considerable cuts in exchange for yet another lifeline. And yet, the euro hardly budged more than a couple of percentage points, and European stocks are actually positive on the year.
