Warning NO Windows Licence Keys for OEM Systems! Burnt Onto Motherboards / ConsumerWatch / Computing
When buying a new system invariably you'll opt for an expensive copy of Windows 10, I say expensive because you can pick up licence keys for near 1/10th what the system builders will be charging. And it gets WORSE! Because unlike in years past, you don't get a licence key sticker that enables you to for whatever reason move your copy of windows to another machine. Instead the licence info is burnt onto the motherboard (coded into the bios). What this means is if your motherboard dies then so will likely your copy of windows unless you are able to retrieve it from the bios before hand which I will cover how to do in another video.

AMD Ryzen Zen 3 NO UK MSRP Stock - 5600x, 5800x, 5900x 5950x Selling at DOUBLE FAKE MSRP Prices / ConsumerWatch / Computing
AMD's Ryzen 5000 series of processors have delivered huge leaps in single core performance of upto 24% and 15% on multi-core against previous gen Zen 2. Unfortunately what AMD has failed to deliver on is actual SUPPLY of the processors, as illustrated by the state of the market in the UK where is proving impossible to buy Zen 3 processors at the various retailers such as overclockers UK, there just is no stock as what little supply PC retailers are getting is being directed towards custom build orders. This leaves the rip off merchants to price gouge, and I am not taking about the scalpers on ebay trying to sell at huge markups of products they probably don't even have, but that where there is stock such as on Amazon one is finding prices inflated to ridiculous levels that makes the Ryzen 5000 CPUs BAD value for money when compared to the previous Zen 2 processors and even against INTEL!

Which RTX 3080 GPU to BUY and AVOID! Nvidia, Asus, MSI , Palit, Gigabyte, Zotac, MLCC vs POSCAPS / ConsumerWatch / Computing
Many AIB RTX 3080 Cards are tending to fail when running under load towards 2000mhz resulting in screen artifacts to game players being kicked to their desktops and even outright system crashes.
Igor Labs first identified the probable cause being AIB's use of cheap capacitor arrays to cut costs thus causing an issue in terms of noise in the power delivery system to the GPU's under boost load at above 1900mhz, the higher the boost the greater the risk of issues i.e. greater instability is when cards boost towards and over 2000mhz, well beyond Nvidia's FE nominal boost clock is at 1710mhz FE which in practice can boost to about 1900mhz in some games, though is less's than that which ABI's boost to hence the crashes being experienced.

WARNING RTX 3080 AIB FLAWED Card's, Cheap Capacitor Arrays Prone to Failing Under Load! / ConsumerWatch / Computing
There is growing disquiet across the blogosphere surrounding the RTX 3080 AIB cards that goes beyond the frustration of lack of supply and this is because of countless reports that AIB card's are proving problematic for many users that whilst playing GPU intensive games result in issues such as artifacts on screen or that they end up being kicked back to their desktops which suggests an issue when the GPU's are under heavy load i.e. at high boost clock speeds and temperatures.

Watch Before Upgrading / Buying RTX 3000, RDNA2 - CPU vs GPU Bottlenecks / ConsumerWatch / Computing
Nvidia RTX 3000 mania is likely soon to be joined by AMD RDNA2 mania. However, here's why you may in large parts be wasting your money if considering upgrading from your existing GPU, especially if it is a 2000 series RTX or 5000 series AMD, and may not be a wise choice to spend £700 for a new GPU even if your existing card is as old as a GTX 970. That's if you can get hold of a GPU courtesy of extremem demand and the scalpers.
Anyway watch this video first before paying upwards of £650 for the likes of an RTX 3080.

Forget crypto's the real mania today is not in Bitcoin but RTX 3080 GPU's where the worldwide supply of the cards has been bought up within 5 minutes of Nvidia's launch largely by scalpers who have then gone on to dump the cards on the likes of Ebay with many starting bidding at ridiculous amounts for the £649 card, starting bids of upwards of £3,500!

LandRover Discovery Sport Service Blues, How Long Before Oil Change is Actually Due? / ConsumerWatch / Land Rover
When you buy a landrover Discovery Sport your sold a sales pitch that a service is due every 21,000 miles or every 2 years. However, once you start driving the car you soon realise that the sales pitch is BS. The car is just not built well enough to last that long. In fact you will be lucky to make it to 12,000 miles before service is due! In fact googling I see Land Rover have now changed the service interval to every 16,000 miles, which is still too long!
This video illustrates the difference between Landrover's sales pitch and reality, where this car has driven LESS than 4,000 miles since it's last service so what do you think the service counter reads? One would imagine around 15-16,000 miles, get ready to be shocked as most Disco sport owners tend to be!

Is Sports Direct Racial Profiling Shoppers? Meadowhall Sheffield / ConsumerWatch / Shopping
Racial profiling is basically where retailers single out shoppers on the basis of skin tone for 'special attention'. Usually this means staff traipse around the store after targeted shoppers with smartphone's or walkie talkies in hand in an obvious manner, which obviously creates for an unwelcoming climate for shoppers.
Virtually every ethnic person in Britain experiences being racially profiled whilst out shopping to some extent, in fact it's become so common that many like us have become immune to the special attention, and just tend to blank them out.
