Gordon Browns Darling delivered his first Pre-Budget Report which had some hallmarks of a pre-election budget, unfortunately Gordon bottled out of the election during the weekend on the back of bad opinion polls. This could however now lay the groundwork for a possible Summer 2008 Election as headlines flash £600k Inheritance Tax Allowance.

Labour Landslide on Early Election As David Cameron Has Failed to Burst the Brown Bubble / ElectionOracle / UK General Election

David Cameron steps forth at the Conservative Party Conference on the eve of an early general election. Knowing full well that he has failed as a leader in many respects to make the Conservative Party electable. If the Polls are anything to go by then the Tory party is in meltdown as there is little hope of winning against an 11 point Labour lead, which would have all the hall marks of a Labour landslide win.

Labour Opinion Poll Boost - Over 80% of Voters Expect Labour to Win an October Election / ElectionOracle / UK General Election

A poll conducted by the Market Oracle gives labour a further boost which suggests that 83% of voters believe that Labour would win an October General Election. The Labour party conference draws to a close at mid-day today and despite election fever there is no sign that Gordon Brown is about to declare an imminent general election.
