It's been quiet and peaceful on Sheffield's streets for the past 10 days since Labour city councilors contractor Amey withdrew their HiViz 'security' and felling crews following the outbreak of violence on the 22nd of January, a day that witnessed police officers turning their backs on screaming protestors whilst Amey's HiViz 'security' forcibly removed protestors from cordoned off tree felling zones as the following video illustrates, a female protestors screaming for the Police to intervene. Instead the officer walks away and turns his back to the scene.

This whilst the mainstream media has been obsessed over the nonsense of 'Tea Gate', focusing on allegations that some Amey tree felling contractors were allegedly 'poisoned' many months ago from cups of tea handed to them by resident(s). With the Daily Mail naming a couple who vehemently deny the allegations.

All this whilst ignoring the real story of the month which were the events on Meersbrook Park Road, one of literal mayhem as hired HiViz bouncers allegedly assaulted tree protestors whilst the police looked on in silence, ignoring the pleas from the general public to intervene as the following video illustrates:

Initially Darren Butt, Account Director for Amey "Streets Ahead" talking to Toby Foster stated that tree fellings had been suspended for the remainder of the week ending 29th January, and stating that the felling would soon resume.

However, at the time I concluded in my article (Shocking Video of Female Sheffield Tree Protestor Screaming for Police Help to Stop Alleged Assault ) that it was highly probable that the street tree fellings were unlikely to resume until AFTER the May 2018 local elections. Which is increasingly looking likely as with each passing day that there is no sign of Amey's security or felling crews which translates into Sheffield's tree campaigners and protestors having succeeded in halting the felling of the remaining Sheffield healthy street trees.
