Gaza Death Cloud Hangs Over Sheffield Eid Festival 2014 at Millhouses Park

Many of the regions muslim communities had been eagerly looking forward to celebrating the end of the month of Ramadan by enjoying their second year of festivities at the Sheffield Eid Festival to be held at Millhouses park this weekend on 2nd and 3rd August 2014, that last year was proclaimed as being a huge success, attended by over 7,000 people due to the fact that entry was / is FREE.

Last year the greatest crisis that festival goers had to contend with was the traffic jam and lack of parking that meant most of the attendees arrived several hours late, which is something that organisers have tried hard to alleviate this year with a park and ride scheme at the Bannerdale centre and a minibus service from Carterknowle road.

However, this year things won't be quite so jovial and it won't just be because of the bad rainy weather expected for most of Saturday, as whilst families mingle amongst the various stalls and watch the stage events, it will all be tinged with a bittersweet sadness due to the ongoing carnage taking place in Gaza of mostly women and children as what amounts to a Jewish fundamentalist state engages in what has been classed as "Israel's war on children", where the brief cease fires to date are primarily for Israel's military to replenish its shells and missiles, brief pauses allowing palestinian parents to bury their dead children ahead of the next densely populated civilian area to be flattened.

Amongst the mainstream media Channel 4 news represents a breath of fresh air by focusing on reporting facts on the ground rather regurgitating Israeli state propaganda such as that by The TelAvivagraph and the BBC that is headed by zionists such as James Purness. As illustrated by the following recent Channel 4 news video reports out of Gaza.

Israel had told them to leave their homes because they could be targeted. They'd gone to the local UN school to seek refuge - only for that, too, to be shelled, killing dozens of women and children, injuring many more. Paul Mason reports from Gaza.

Earlier in the genocide, Channel 4 News gave air time to Israeli Prime Ministers spokesman apparently happy to justify killing children playing on the beach, noting that Israel's Ministry for Propaganda has coached all media representatives to demonstrate fake empathy for the deaths of palestinian children, however despite this script, most are usually unable to mask their underlying hatred of palestinians including children who they classify as future Hamas fighters and hence legitimate targets to kill in their cribs.

Here Jon Snow recounts the scene in Gaza's al-Shifa hospital, where doctors struggle to treat adults and children wounded by Israeli attacks.

Undoubtedly, Eid festival visitor focus will be on the horrendous Gaza death toll of over 1500 civilians killed, mostly women and children and thus the usual hustle and bustle will likely be periodically punctuated with spontaneous cry's for "Free, Free Palestine", "Stop the Gaza War", "Stop Israel State Terror" and such like.

Additionally expect many more attendees this year from across the communities who will also be wanting to demonstrate their outrage at Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people.

Whilst at the same time Israel's Jewish fanatics can literally be heard celebrating the death of innocent palestinian children as they are slaughtered by their 'brave' soldiers.

"there is no more school in Gaza because all of the children are dead" chant Jewish fundamentalists (Ch4 News).

Meanwhile most local and national Labour and Tory politicians, many of whom class themselves as friends of Israel, can be seen lining up with one another like little Chamberlains to continue to appease the Israeli neo-nazi regime, and just like the 1930's history WILL remember them for their appeasement if the electorate does not first at the next local and general election!
