Council tax payers have the opportunity to have their properties rebanded and to have their council tax bill cut by £300 or more per year, in addition to receiving a repayment of the amount overpaid since 1991. Literally thousands of Council tax payers are having their houses rebanded lower and receiving thousands in repayments.

Reband your house and get thousands back off of your Council Tax payments and cut your annual Council Tax bill by hundreds

The current UK Council Tax system was introduced in a rush after widespread protests against the poll tax system of local taxation was finally withdrawn in 1993, and replaced with the Council Tax in April 1993, using valuations of April 1991.

The council tax is collected by means of valuation banding of domestic properties. Each local authority keeps a list of all the domestic property in its area. This is called the valuation list. Each property is then valued as of April 1991 prices and put into a valuation band. Then the local authority charges a different amount of council tax on each band.

The valuation bands are:-

In England:

Valuation band Range of values
A Up to £40,000
B Over £40,000 and up to £52,000
C Over £52,000 and up to £68,000

F Over £120,000 and up to £160,000
G Over £160,000 and up to £320,000
