Stocks Bull Market is Resuming / Stock-Markets / Stocks Bull Market
A choppy and somewhat volatile market in the US this week that ended on a positive note. Global markets were not as fortunate as the DJ World index ended -0.4%. Positive economic reports again outnumbered negative ones 2:1. On the downtick: factory orders, ISM services, and the Trade deficit increased. On the uptick: consumer credit, wholesale inventories, consumer sentiment, the M1-multiplier, the WLEI, and weekly jobless claims declined. Consumer sentiment has been improving since its 30 year low in mid-August, and the economy appears to be making a u-turn after its double bottom low in mid-October. For the week the SPX/DOW were +1.15%, and the NDX/NAZ were +0.75%. Asian markets lost 2.5%, and European markets gained 0.1%. Next week there is a plethora of economic indicators and the FOMC meeting on tuesday.

This Stocks Bull Market Has Legs, Bargain Prices Mean Buy Now / Stock-Markets / Stocks Bull Market
Jon D. Markman writes: Stocks swept higher over the past week as investors swooped in to pick up bargains lying on the stock exchange floors. It did not matter if they were in Asia, Europe or the United States. If they were down 10% or more in the past month, they were vacuumed up.

Can the Stocks Bull Market Continue as Uncertainty Recedes? / Stock-Markets / Stocks Bull Market
Jon D. Markman writes: Stocks rose briskly in the second half of last week as investors cheered the return of General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) shares to the Street and the return of Irish budget officials to the debt negotiating table. It's amazing how quickly people forget what a horrible company GM was and what a mess Dublin has made of governance. In a twinkling of an eye, all was forgiven. Must be a bull market.

Small Investors Miss Out on Stocks Bull Market and Hot Commodities / Stock-Markets / Stocks Bull Market
All investors can recall the horror during the five months from October 2008 through early March of 2009 as day after day the markets continued to make new lows. That type of catastrophic drop leaves many psychological scars and probably spooked millions of investors out of the stock market for good. To wit, since the March 2009 lows and throughout this new Bull Market Cycle, Investors are pulling money out of equity funds in droves and piling into Bonds. This is the fight or flight mentality taking hold of the herd, and as they continue to disbelieve in the new bull cycle in stocks, the market continues to power higher.

Stocks Stealth Bull Market Closes Back Above Dow 11,000 / Stock-Markets / Stocks Bull Market
Today's a great day for numerologists - 10th day of the 10th Month of the 10th Year. What happened on past such days ? Apparently nothing!
The Dow on Friday closed above 11,000 at 11,006 for the first time since just before the May 6th Flash Crash. Off course no one saw the flash crash coming, but subsequently many of a perma mindset have eagerly anticipated its re-occurrence all the way back to above Dow 11k.

SPX Stocks Bull Market Projection / Stock-Markets / Stocks Bull Market
After observing this bull market unfold for 18 months it appears to be repeating recent pattern with a few variations. The pattern, as we have discussed before, is similar to the 2002-2007 bull market. That bull market took 60 months to unfold, this one is moving a lot faster. My best estimate, at this stage of the wave structure, is for a top around the previous SPX 1576 high by February 2012. This is how I came up with this projection.

Stock Market Ostrich Investors With Trillions of Dollars of Capital Sat on the Sidelines / Stock-Markets / Stocks Bull Market
Ostrich investors are a major driving force in today’s financial markets. As the name implies, they are hiding their heads in the sand like the popular literary perception of the king of birds. Burned in 2008’s epic stock-market panic, they have shunned active investing ever since. Trillions of dollars of their capital languishes idle on the sidelines, earning zero in money markets or near-record-low yields in Treasuries.

SPX Cyclical Stocks Bull Market Lives / Stock-Markets / Stocks Bull Market
Naturally in the wake of the recent stock-market selling, bearish theories have made a major resurgence. You can’t turn on CNBC for 5 minutes, let alone open a financial newspaper, without seeing endless reasons why the stock markets are doomed to spiral ever lower. But the little-discussed contrarian case against these mainstream arguments is pretty compelling today.

Five Reasons Why the S&P 500 Will Hit 1,350 / Stock-Markets / Stocks Bull Market
Matthew Weinschenk writes: If you’ve talked yourself out of buying stocks recently, set aside your fears right now.
Fear is what kept many investors out of stocks when the bull market started in 2002. Seven years later, investors missed out again when the March 2009 bull market got underway.

U.S. Stocks Are Hanging By a Thread – But It’s a Tough Thread / Stock-Markets / Stocks Bull Market
Jon D. Markman writes: If you ask me, the current bull market in U.S. stocks is hanging by a thread.
In fact, a decline that takes the Standard & Poor's 500 Index down below the 1,040 level - roughly 7% below where it closed yesterday (Wednesday) - would probably murder the bull-market case for stocks.

Ending Phase of the Cyclical Stocks Bull Market? / Stock-Markets / Stocks Bull Market
I have to wonder, are we entering the ending phase of this cyclical bull?
For sometime now I've noticed the similarities between the `02-`07 cyclical bull and what we've experienced since March of last year. The one difference is that this time we've truncated the middle phase of the bull. I suspect that was a direct result of the massive liquidity Bernanke ... and all central banks have pumped into the system.
