Judaism and Christianity - 2,000 of Lies, 66 Years of State Terrorism / Politics / Religion
Laura Knight-Jadczyk writes: A few years ago, when my book The Secret History of the World was published, I rashly promised that volume 2 would soon be completed and ready for publication. After all, I pretty much knew what I wanted to zoom in on - the topic of Moses and the creation of Judaism - and I already had a good hypothesis and had tons of supplementary support material. I even had a title: The Horns of Moses (triple entendre!) It should be a piece of cake, I thought. And so, I sat down to write.

The Nihilists Said Keep Calm And Carry On / Politics / Religion
The First Ones Did
Plenty of hair-splitting but not much real difference separates “the heroic philosophies” from what ended up, in Europe as Nihilism and Existentialism. The first say that nothing exists while the others say that only existence exists. Both reject society. Both reject all previous socially-imprinted ideas or “social facts”. Both are in play in the crisis we have today.

Tony Blair Backs Dictators Over Freedom in New Fundamentalist Christian Crusade / Politics / Religion
Britain's former Prime Minister who betrayed Britain by taking the country into an illegal 10 year Iraq war on the basis of lies that resulted in more than 150,000 civilians deaths all in the lunacy of praising his own version of the 'man in the sky' cult that goes by the name of the Roman Catholic church, today emerged to further his evangelical fundamentalist message of siding with Russia's Czar Putin in his latest East European war of conquest that first consumed former Tartar Crimea and looks set to ultimately annex half of Ukraine's land mass.

Scientology a Mirror for Christianity and All Religions of Eternal Slavery / Politics / Religion
Scientology made the news yesterday on the UK broadcast news channels following recognition by the British state that L Ron Hubbard's Church of scientology has been finally accepted as being a religion and therefore has access to all of the trappings that go along with it such as having tax exempt status and liberal use of playing the religious persecution card to perpetuate their version of slavery that overturns the 1970 high court ruling that scientology was not a religion.

Geopolitics And Islam In The MENA / Politics / Religion
ROOT CONFLICT OF IDEOLOGY
As I reported in a previous article ('Political Islam and the Next Oil War') political Islam and Pan Arab nationalism are either the uppermost fears or seen as lurking threats by the great powers, or so-called great powers, and by their regional imitators setting out to “redesign the landscape” in the Middle East and North Africa. Islamism or political Islam, like Pan Arab nationalism and Arab socialism in the 1950s and 1960s generate the fear of violent political movements sweeping away previous nations and frontiers, and with them the “liberal economy”. In fact these threats have more spin than substance and oppose each other. Conversely the real threats are ignored.

Business of Evangelism Religion, Money, Money, Money / Politics / Religion
Theologians preach that religion is based upon faith, while economists depict that the world runs on money. Many confess that ministries repeatedly lose their way, while no one really disputes churches operate as business enterprises. The actual purpose of such churches varies with different dominations, but organized religion frequently functions more like a "PC" soapbox than a congregation of moral values. Often, it is all about the money, because they operate their worldly business, even if they profess to be a spiritual mission. The vast temple empires of modern day evangelism ignore the bible verse that talks about "we are in the world, but not of the world".

Ramadan Diaries - Islam, Muslims and the Haram Benefits Culture / Politics / Religion
Channel 4 TV has been busy this past month broadcasting short 5 minute videos illustrating the experience of muslims during the Islamic Lunar calendar (that is 11-12 days shorter than the solar year) month of Ramadan that started the day after sighting of the first crescent of the new moon. The focus for muslims is on the dawn till dusk fasting as one of the five pillars of Islam for every muslim to follow in pursuit of their objective of gaining a place in heaven / paradise as it is said all those who fast will have all of their past sins forgiven.

Atheism to Secular Humanism and Objectivism / Politics / Religion
At first thought, the different philosophical positions of Emma Goldman and Ayn Rand seem to be well defined. Notwithstanding, the contrast between a propensity towards anarchism with an advocacy for laissez-faire capitalism, both Russian born "Khazar Jewish" theorists and activists shared a rejection of a theist metaphysics. When Emma Goldman states: (speaking from a Detroit pulpit in 1898, quoted from Annie Laurie Gaylor, Women Without Superstition, p. 382), "I do not believe in God, because I believe in man. Whatever his mistakes, man has for thousands of years past been working to undo the botched job your God has made", her mindset distinctly sets her apart from the main body of Western Civilization thought.

Money. Religion. Power. / Politics / Religion
French President Hollande declared on TV on his nation's national holiday that the recession in France is over. You can just see the discussions in the Elysee Palace: we can't say that!, well, we have some graphs that show a little recovery, we just need to hide the ones that don't, and the president desperately needs a positive message to look presidential on Quatorze Juillet, so why don't we just go for it, instruct the interviewers not to push too hard; what's important is not whether it's true or not, but whether or not we can make people believe what he says, if only for the day. And so it was decided: the emperor would have clothes for a few hours.

Pope Bashing Media Blitz "Proves All Is Well" / Politics / Religion
EVERY DAY THE DOW HITS RECORD HIGHS
Of course soaring equity indices are nothing to do with the real economy - only the naive would (or could) imagine the opposite. However, one direct spinoff is Pope bashing. The new Pope's primal error was to almost say outright that mass poverty can be linked with the greedy rich and their casino economy. Rapidly, Pope bashing has become "de rigeur" in official government friendly media.

Darwin And The Crisis Of Christianity / Politics / Religion
THE PRIMAL SOUP
In the primal soup of our ex-democracies in meltdown, as we thrill to one petty demagogue after the other, the 'recourse to religion' is surely making a comeback. This will also bring back the 160-year-old crisis of Christian, Juadaic and Islamic doctrine set by the theory of evolution. Darwinist defenders of "large scale abiogenesis-based evolution" present things as follows. Four and a half billion years ago our young planet's naked land masses were almost completely engulfed by shallow primordial seas, their waters formed by inorganic atmospheric and volcanic-tectonic chemical processes. Powerful winds gathered random molecules from the atmosphere and some were deposited in the seas. Tides and currents thrust the molecules together. Then, somewhere in this ancient shallow ocean or at its edges the miracle of life began. The first organized form of primitive life was a tiny protozoan one-celled animal. Billions of protozoa soon populated the ancient seas and were completely self-sufficient in their sea-water world, feeding on bacteria and other organisms, which had also miraculously been formed. Much later on, life in the seas spread to the land and to the air.

Pope Francis And Global Poverty / Politics / Religion
CONSPIRACY THEORISTS SAY
The new Pope wafts in on a magic carpet of Oppression theology, not Liberation theology: Pope Francis will tell the people to accept poverty, distribute poverty, tone it down a little, tuck it under the carpet. Keep the party going - for the rich.

Reinventing Abraham: Organized Religion And The Crisis / Politics / Religion
TOLERANCE AND UNDERSTANDING
We like to imagine that mutual understanding promotes tolerance. But the modern communication saturated 'global village' enables us to better hate people because we understand them all too well.
To be sure, religion is a major vector or enabler of organized hate and most starkly concerns adepts and fanatics of the so-called "Three Religions of the Book": because their numbers are well over 2 billion persons worldwide, this has "a certain significance".

Statist Philosophy the Scourge of Christianity / Politics / Religion
The normal condition of man ruling over men resorts to the practice of coercive force. Statism so aptly reflects this system of compliance. When you strip away all the rhetoric and institutional validation, what is left is a doctrine of kingship. Governments are fashioned to exert control over people. Contemplate the intrinsic contradiction of this structure of dominance with the message of the Golden Rule.

FAST BURNOUT
Wikipedia tells us that the Spanish conquest of Yucatán and then other Mayan regions in today's Guatemala and Belize was above all rapid - it took at most 20 years - but was much slower than the two-year total wipeout of the Aztec, further south in central America, through 1519-1521.

Freedom of Conscience: To What Extent? / Politics / Religion
In this very thoughtful book, Brian Leiter calls our attention to a paradox. In most liberal democracies, including the United States, religious believers often are exempt from laws that violate the tenets of their religion. By contrast, parallel claims of exemption on non-religious grounds tend to receive less consideration.
