Research in Motion (RIMM) Transitioning to New Upleg / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: Mike_Paulenoff

The stairstep decline in Research in Motion (RIMM) from last week’s high at 72.08 into this morning’s low at 66.45 has the right look of a completed correction of the prior upleg from 61.50. If my work proves accurate, then RIMM should be “in the turn” period now, transitioning into another upleg that will revisit 72 on the way to 74-75. Read full article... Read full article...

IPO Basics, Some Things to Consider Before Buying / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: Jay_DeVincentis

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleWhile the market looks toppy here, we're entering a seasonally strong period. There are many IPOs that are worth looking at - look at this week's list for the top performers. The top 3 on the list are stocks you should consider holding.

But the bottom one on the list is a bit more of a risky play, starting to show some strength:

General Electric GE in Consolidation / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: Mike_Paulenoff

While I was disappointed that General Electric (NYSE: GE) failed twice to follow-through to the upside from above its December resistance line in the vicinity of 15.90 and instead nosedived to 15.66 earlier this morning, my work argues that the weakness should be considered a correction in the aftermath of yesterday’s upmove from 15.55 to 15.94.

Apple, a Major Stock Market Rally Leader Falters / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: INO

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleOne of the big success stories in 2009 was the rise of Apple. With its sexy new products like the iPhone, the iPod, and the iMac, Apple has seen its fortunes rise in dramatic fashion.

So what's happening just before the holidays with Apple? Why are we seeing Apple stutter and falter? In my new video, I share with you what I believe is going to happen to one of my favorite markets.

Unfinished Upside for Bristol-Myers Squibb BMY / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: Mike_Paulenoff

My near-term work argues strongly that Bristol-Myers Squibb (NYSE: BMY) is nearing the completion of its corrective period off of last week’s high at 25.75 into the 24.50 area. Right now I cannot rule out another loop down to revisit 24.50 (last Friday’s low), but if further weakness emerges I will want to enter/add to long positions ahead of unfinished business on the upside that projects to 26.60-27.00 next.

GE Unfinished on Upside / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: Mike_Paulenoff

My medium-term work argues that General Electric (NYSE: GE) has unfinished business on the upside to at least 17 and perhaps to 19 in the upcoming hours/days. In addition, my near-term pattern work identifies Nov 4 as a powerful cycle turn (up), which if accurate means that the upmove from 14.15 to last week’s high at 16.29 likely completed the first upleg in a new bull leg, with the Dubai Shock representing a correction of the initial upleg.

General Electric (GE) In New Upleg / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: Mike_Paulenoff

Based on my pattern, cycle and RSI analysis, General Electric (NYSE: GE) appears poised to enter a new upleg that should propel the stock to 16.80-17.00 next and possibly to new recovery highs above 18.00. In particular, the pattern carved out since the Nov 4 low at 14.15 has the right look of the initial upmove of a new upleg followed by a sideways rest-digestion period (11/16-11/24), followed by today’s upside pivot off of 15.92.

Correction in Progress for Ford / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: Mike_Paulenoff

Those who have watched my work for a while know that I find channel analysis very useful (along with Bollinger Bands in many instances). For me, it is no coincidence that Ford (NYSE: F) hit the upper channel line at around 9.05 and then accelerated 1% above the upper line, which happens to be 9.14, after which the price structure reversed and declined back into the confines of the channel.

General Electric (GE) Heading Higher / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: Mike_Paulenoff

Off of Friday’s late-session sell-off to 15.56, General Electric (NYSE: GE) has pivoted to the upside with power and has the right look of a price structure that has entered a new upleg. Let’s notice that GE is approaching a very important resistance area at 16.00/05, which represents the prior rally peak (Nov 10) and the Sep-Nov down trendline.

Ford in High-Level Congestion / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: Mike_Paulenoff

All of the action in Ford (F) this week argues that the stock is carving out a high-level congestion pattern that should resolve to the upside in a thrust to 9.00/25 next. At this juncture, only a decline that breaks the recent pullback low at 8.17 will morph the congestion pattern into a deeper correction that projects to 7.85/75 prior to the emergence of another upleg.

Recovery Bounce for GE / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: Mike_Paulenoff

For anyone watching the travails of General Electric (NYSE: GE) lately, my near-term work argues that yesterday’s low at 14.35 ended the downleg from the 16.91 high from October 14. As of this moment, the lift in GE to 14.75/80 so far should be viewed as a recovery bounce within the confines of a 6-week correction that has an optimal target zone of 15.15/40 – at which point GE will be at crossroads technically.

U.S. Automaker Ford Upside Potential / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: Mike_Paulenoff

I am keeping a close eye on Ford (F) because it has become the darling of what remains of the American auto business, and appears to have the grit and determination to succeed in a new mean global environment. My medium-term chart work argues that we need to be long Ford soon, ahead of an explosive new upleg that projects to 12.00-15.00 in the upcoming months. My near-term work suggests that I want to be long F as long as the October 2 low at 6.61 remains intact and before the stock hurdles 7.55-.60 resistance – if I do not want to chase it towards 9.00.

U.S. Automaker Ford (F) Poised to Run Higher / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: Mike_Paulenoff

For the past seven weeks, Ford (NYSE: F) has been correcting its prior upmove from the July pivot low at 5.24 to the August high at 8.86. On Monday the stock traded down to 6.75 prior to recovering to the 7.00/10 area. In pre-open action today, F was trading up at 7.21/22, largely due to a very favorable article in today’s WSJ entitled, “Ford Makes Push to Boost Asian Presence.”
