U.S. Stock Markets Give Major Sell Signal

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleTwo things happened today that bear thinking about:

1. The US Stock market gave a sell signal which, in my view, was not a run-of-the-mill signal. There are too many people who are “hoping” for a bounce from these levels to give me the comfort that it will bounce.

2. 600,000 homes were reported to be without power from Ohio to New Jersey – caused by high winds. This brings the total to over 4.5 million for this winter which is a clear sign that climate change has been misread by the authorities; in the sense that we are too dependent on the overhead grids for comfort (See attached Xcel spreadsheet which shows this year and the two years before that). The authorities, led by Al Gore, became so fixated on the left feint that they missed the right hook to the jaw.

Today’s sell signal should be taken seriously – if for no other reason that the good news is out. Obama has done what he can and the market is unimpressed.

Of interest, the buy signal in gold yesterday may have come too late to shake the authorities out of their complacency

And yet, despite all this, I remain optimistic for the future. Perhaps it needed this shakeup to get people too understand what is really valuable in this life. Perhaps it will cause us to stop all this posturing and finally get serious about what really matters.

Good luck to all.

Beyond Neanderthal is a novel with a light hearted and entertaining fictional storyline; and with carefully researched, fact based themes. In Chapter 1 (written over a year ago) the current financial turmoil is anticipated. The rest of the 430 page novel focuses on the probable causes of this turmoil and what we might do to dig ourselves out of the quagmire we now find ourselves in. The core issue is “energy”, and the story leads the reader step-by-step on one possible path which might point a way forward.  Gold plays a pivotal role in our future – not as a currency, but as a commodity with unique physical characteristics that can be harnessed to humanity's benefit. Until the current market collapse, there would have been many who questioned the validity of the arguments in Beyond Neanderthal. Now the evidence is too stark to ignore.  This is a book that needs to be read by large numbers of people to make a difference. It can be ordered over the internet via www.beyondneanderthal.com
