You can arrange a dinner with your colleagues at home and share the bill. It is always very cheap and comes together for pleasant moments, in the comfort of home along with known and welcome company.
But is pair or group activities not your style? In the 21st century, it is almost certain that you have a computer or a mobile phone and that one has access to the internet. How about downloading a game to your mobile phone without realizing it, losing, as you say, hours on end and having a lot of fun?
