The Deep State vs Donald Trump - US vs Them Part 2
Politics / US Politics May 21, 2019 - 12:16 PM GMTIn Part I of this article I discussed why the “Us versus Them” mindset permeates society and how Trump has become a lightning rod for hate. Now I will assess his progress in fighting the Deep State and try to peer into a murky future.
In addition to not being Hillary, the main reasons I voted for Trump was he promised to build the wall, he promised to repeal and replace Obamacare, he promised to end our foreign military interventions, he said he would bring fiscal sanity to the budget, he said the Federal Reserve had blown an immense stock market bubble, he questioned the fake economic data spouted by government drones, and he called out the fake news bullshit media. When I regularly assess his progress on these issues, the standard response from Trump acolytes is “Would you rather have Hillary?”. No, I would not. But that doesn’t get Trump off the hook for his failures in my book.
He can blame establishment Republicans and left-wing Democrats, but he had both houses for two years and did not get money appropriated to build the wall. Mexico didn’t pay for it. There are more illegal immigrants pouring over the border now than under Obama. The U.S. government is now dumping these illegals in cities across America. Trump bloviates at his weekly rallies, but this has been a miserable failure. He can blame the decaying rotting corpse of McCain for his failure to repeal Obamacare, but he failed. The medical industrial complex is still in control; premiums, co-pays and deductibles are higher than ever; bureaucracy expands; and the quality of care continues to decline. Another major fail.
He has massively increased our subsidies to the military industrial complex, while supporting the wars of the murdering House of Saud and the Israelis. He has surrounded himself with unhinged war mongering neo-cons itching for war with Iran, Russia and China. The appeals to patriotism are incessant on commercials, sporting events, and in the news. The great businessman adapted quickly to Washington DC math. Cut taxes for mega-corporations and billionaires, while increasing military spending by hundreds of billions, and not cutting anything, shockingly is leading to a $1.2 trillion deficit this year. He missed balancing the budget by just a smidgen. Of course, the Trump apologists now say debt doesn’t matter. But it does, and it will.
The most disappointing flip flop from Trump has been his complete reversal regarding the Federal Reserve. He declared the stock market as a big fat ugly bubble when the Dow was 18,000 in the summer of 2016. And he attributed the bubble to the recklessly low interest rates perpetuated by the Fed. Now he tweets daily about the great market at 26,000 and ridicules and scorns the Federal Reserve for raising rates to 2.5%.
He acts like a Wall Street shyster pumping a worthless Uber IPO with his blatant attempts to goose the market with fake news about the “imminent” trade deal with China. With a global recession imminent, he desperately needs a rising stock market to keep the plebs believing his great economy narrative.
I wrote articles month after month during the Obama administration proving the BLS and BEA were producing fake manipulated data to paint an untrue positive picture of the economy. Trump railed about the fake numbers during the campaign. Now he worships at the altar of BLS bullshit. The unemployment numbers, CPI and GDP are now unquestioned. Don’t dare question the tremendous economy narrative, or the Trump sycophants will attack.
Does anyone with two brain cells actually believe your everyday inflation is less than 2%? Home prices are at all-time highs. Apartment rent is at an all-time high. Car prices are at an all-time high. Tuition costs are at an all-time high. Healthcare costs are at an all-time high. Gas prices are up 25% this year and 25% since Trump took office. The price of beef and pork is up double digits. The corporate food companies reduce package sizes while keeping the price the same.
The price of electronic gadgets you buy every few years falls (until Trump’s tariffs start to bite) and of course, your wages stagnate at 2% or less growth. Anyone living in the real world knows their real inflation is north of 5%. Record credit card debt is a function of stagnant wages and rising prices for everything else. And if real inflation is north of 5%, then the fake GDP numbers would show negative growth in the economy.
If we are now supposed to believe the BLS then let’s examine the best jobs market ever narrative. Direct from the BLS website, 4.5 million jobs have been added in the 27 months of Trump’s presidency, or 167,000 per month. In a blow to the Trumpeteers, 4.8 million jobs were added in the last 27 months of the Obama presidency, or 178,000 per month. Bummer for the narrative. But the unemployment rate has fallen from 4.8% to 3.6%, as 1.8 million more people “voluntarily” left the workforce. There were 102 million working age Americans not working in January 2017 and there are still 102 million not working. Men in their prime earning years of 45 to 54 have seen 300,000 more job losses since Trump ascended the throne. Not exactly as spectacular as the narrative spun every day on the interwebs. But, rooting for the home team will continue unabated.
“This is where we are at right now, as a whole. No one is left out of the loop. We are experiencing a reality based on a thin veneer of lies and illusions. A world where greed is our God and wisdom is sin, where division is key and unity is fantasy, where the ego-driven cleverness of the mind is praised, rather than the intelligence of the heart.” ― Bill Hicks
Bill Hicks wrote those words in the early 1990s. The thin veneer of lies and illusions has become thick coating of blatant lies and delusions. Avaricious greed rules the world and manufactured divisiveness is used by the Deep State to keep the masses ignorant of their true purpose. The red meat issues like abortion, transgender freaks, the drug war, reparations, wedding cakes for gays, diversity quotas, SAT adversity adjustments, college admission scandals, mass shootings, the war on terror, false flags and other social justice bullshit keep the anger flowing on social media and in the fake news mainstream media, as the opposing teams battle for followers, likes and expansion of their personal brands. It all seems so contrived and managed. It’s almost as if we are living in a reality TV show with evil producers and directors making sure the actors follow the plot and play their parts.
When we aren’t waging battle on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or our favorite blogs, we are fed massive doses of propaganda by 24-hour news networks, 600 channels of mindless entertainment on the boob tube, sports heroes to worship, and corporate processed poison disguised as food. We’ve got thousands of retail stores where we can spend money, we don’t have on shit we don’t need. We must be connected to our iGadgets 24 hours per day or we would undergo withdrawal symptoms on par with heroin addicts.
What will Kanye and Kim name their latest mulatto? How about the latest royal baby? Could AOC really be that vapid? Will Mueller indict Trump? Will Barr prosecute the coup conspirators? What does Q say will happen next? Bill Hicks thought our country had gone to hell twenty-five years ago. He would roll over in his grave if he saw how far our culture has degraded. And still we think we’re free. We are free to do as our keepers instruct or allow.
“Go back to bed, America. Your government has figured out how it all transpired. Go back to bed, America. Your government is in control again. Here. Here’s American Gladiators. Watch this, shut up. Go back to bed, America. Here is American Gladiators. Here are 56 channels of it! Watch these pituitary retards bang their ***** skulls together and congratulate you on living in the land of freedom. Here you go, America! You are free to do what we tell you! You are free to do what we tell you!” ― Bill Hicks
We’ve got a populace so dumbed down and indoctrinated with social justice gibberish by government schools that a large proportion actually believe socialism will lead to prosperity. Just like Venezuela and Cuba. The reason young people are turning to socialism is because they aren’t actually experiencing free market capitalism. We are trapped in a paradigm of crony capitalism or corporate fascist capitalism. The few at the top reap the vast majority of rigged benefits, while the average worker gets screwed. This current state of affairs will not be fixed at the ballot box.
But the show must go on. The freakshow of pedophiles, whores, communists, fake Mexicans and baby killers running for president as Democrats should scare the living shit out of every critical thinking normal American. They make Trump look like a superstar in comparison. No matter who is selected by the oligarchs to represent the Democrat team, the outcome will hinge on three or four swing states, with no definitive victor likely until the day after the election – if then.
This begs the question – does any of this matter? Is this just the Trump reality show presidency, following the ups and downs of surveillance state antagonists Comey, Brennan, Clapper and Mueller as their attempted coup, at the behest of Obama, to install Hillary as president fails – with their imminent arrests as traitors to the Constitution? For two years there has been much sound and fury from both sides, but no one of substance is ever perp walked.
After ten thousand Trump tweets I’m growing weary of the unfulfilled promises, threats, stock market manipulation, and exaggerations about our amazing economy. I find myself tuning everyone and everything out. I’d rather do yard work and tend to my small garden than debate with narrative believers on both sides of the fence. Your freedom of choice is an illusion, as the Deep State grows bolder in their efforts to maintain their power, control and riches. It appears we are approaching a moment when all pretense will be cast aside and the scenery will taken down.
“The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it’s profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.” – Frank Zappa
I want to believe Trump is wearing the white hat and will defeat his Deep State coup antagonists, freeing the country from the grip of wealthy oligarchs and their well- compensated minions in government, the media, military, mega-corps, and Wall Street. As with most things happening in the world today, Orwell’s 1984 captures the zeitgeist of this stage of the Fourth Turning. Is Donald Trump the Emmanuel Goldstein character in 1984?
If so, is he really the opposition to The Party (Deep State) or is he controlled opposition serving his purpose as the propaganda tele-screens direct their two minutes (more like 24 hours) of hate in his direction? Is Trump truly fighting the Deep State or is he a created distraction, while the Deep State faceless manipulators continue to pillage the wealth of the world while waging never ending wars against the enemy of the month? The dialogue from Goldstein in the 1984 film is reminiscent of Trump’s campaign speeches and inaugural address. He clearly presented everything we hated about the establishment (aka The Party). He has garnered millions of dedicated followers, while serving as a lightning rod of hate by the Deep State and their easily manipulated lemming-like acolytes.
“Nothing the Party says is true. Nothing the Party does is good. Even the war itself isn’t real. The Party wants you to believe we are at war so as to channel your aggression away from their rightful target: The Party. Big Brother is not real. He is pure fiction, created by the Party. The real rulers of the State are unknown, faceless manipulators who, because they are not known are able to wield power without let or hindrance. People of Oceania, you are being duped. The Party doesn’t serve the people — it serves itself. We are not at war with Eurasia. You are being made into obedient, stupid slaves of the Party. Open your eyes. See the evil that is happening to you. The Party drops bombs on its own citizens. It is the Party, not the Eurasians, who are our enemies. Rise up. Throw off the yoke. You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain, People of Oceania.” – Emmanuel Goldstein – 1984 Film
The Goldstein character is shrouded in mystery. His actual existence is left in doubt. O’Brien gives indications he is a fictitious character used by the Party to justify their overbearing surveillance state and elimination of civil liberties. We know Trump is a real person, but his previous experience was as a self-promoting real estate developer and reality TV star. He is a showman extraordinaire.
Goldstein served the purpose of the Party as a scapegoat for anything wrong with society. The masses were told he was conspiring to overthrow the regime and sabotaging the smooth operations of the nation. The people were instructed to direct extreme contempt towards Goldstein when he appeared on their tele-screens at 11:00 am daily.
Trump most certainly generates extreme contempt from his opposition. His provocative rhetoric and daily tweets unite his enemies and focuses their vitriolic anger in his direction. The talking heads on our tele-screens rage at him all day long, resorting to fake news in order to try and bring him down.
But, while this daily dose of hate rages, The Party/Deep State continues to wage war against Eurasia (Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, Venezuela, Russia, China) with an ever growing parasitic military industrial complex, the Ponzi debt scheme swells to titanic proportions as the Wall Street cabal and their central bank puppets continue their pillaging of Main Street, illegals continue to invade across our porous borders, the incessant propaganda dumbs down, misleads and misinforms the ignorant masses, and the Party apparatchiks do their despicable duty at the altar of mammon. It certainly appears as if nothing changes regarding the truly major issues confronting our country.
Is Trump one of Us or one of Them? I do not know, but I’m preparing for either eventuality. There will be no glorious leader who will pilot us to victory over the evil doers. Worshiping ego-maniacal individuals or the Party is a losing proposition. Joining together with like-minded individuals in your local community is your best bet. Are you ready for the approaching storms? Time is growing short.
