London Eye Best Times to Visit for Shortest Queues - Tourist Tips
Personal_Finance / Holidays Aug 20, 2018 - 03:10 PM GMTThe London Eye is at the top of every Tourists London must do list, the consequences of which is that it tends to get very, very busy, and despite the number of capsules you can end up waiting for over an hour as the queue snakes across the Westminster walkway all the way to the Merlin ticket office. So we tracked the Eye queue length over a couple of days to see which are the best and worst times to visit the London eye, as picking the right time could get you on in less than 1/3rd the time. So watch the video and to find out what the queues are like at various times of day during a busy summers day.
So in summary the best times visit are 10am to 11.30pm and after 4.45pm. So conversely the worst times to visit are from about 12pm to 4pm when despite having a pre booked slot you could end up waiting for upto 1.5 hours!
Also remember that Merlin card holders need to book a time slot, which means queuing at the ticket office, after which you join the main queue which in our experience added about 15 minutes onto our London Eye queue time. So the best advice is to come EARLY, 10am to minimise queuing.
