Trump or Putin - who is the Master in the Art of the Deal?

Politics

As summits go, this Trump/Putin melodrama has been billed with the lowest expectations. Style versus substance has been the focus of the Fake News Press. Low energy and boring is the assessment. Trump missed a great opportunity to lay out Putin on the carpet of public opinion. He got trumped by the wily KGB operative. So goes the coordinated condemnation by the U.S. media and talking heads. The internationalists in the foreign policy establishment suffer another blow in their plan to fire up the tension and brinkmanship with the Russian Bear. This attitude is vividly exemplified by that deranged spook and former director of the CIA, John Brennan: Trump's press conference with Putin 'nothing short of treasonous'.

"Former CIA Director John Brennan called President Trump’s press conference on Monday with Russian President Vladimir Putin “treasonous.”

Mr. Trump dismissed an opportunity during the press conference in Helsinki, Finland to confront Mr. Putin about the allegation of Russia interfering with the U.S. 2016 election, calling the special counsel’s investigation a “disaster for our country.”

Just how many elections did you fix that brought down regimes that The Agency deemed resisting the dictates of the American Empire? It is incontestable that rigging the counting of ballot boxes is a prime skill that the warmongers have perfected.

How convenient to place blame on Russia for all the collusion that the Clinton cabal actually committed. Paraphrasing the famous quote: "I am shocked—shocked—to find that (fixing elections) gambling is going on in here!"

RAND PAUL: RUSSIA IS ALWAYS GOING TO MEDDLE IN OUR ELECTIONS, JUST LIKE WE’RE GOING TO MEDDLE IN THEIRS, admits the obvious.

“I think really we mistake our response if we think it’s about accountability from the Russians,” Paul told Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union. “They are going to spy on us, do spy on us. They are going to interfere in our elections, we also do the same,” Paul said.

“I would say it’s not morally equivalent,” Paul said of Russia’s election meddling relating to America’s campaigns to influence foreign elections. “But I think in [Russia’s] mind it is. It’s important to know in your adversary’s mind the way they perceive thing. They react to our interference in their elections and one of the reasons they didn’t like Hillary Clinton, they found her responsible for some of the activity by the U.S. in their elections under the [Former President Barack] Obama administration,” Paul said.

“We’ve wanted Russians to admit it. They are not going to admit it, the same way we’re not going to admit we were involved in the Ukrainian elections or in the Russian elections. So all countries that can spy interfere, do. All countries that want to interfere in elections and have the ability to, they try,” Paul said."

So who is the master deal maker? Read a Transcript of Trump and Putin's Joint Press Conference to review both statements. Trump and Putin unite in denying any Russian collusion during US elections at key Helsinki summit. Charges of alleged collusion are the basis of the Mueller Special Counsel investigation, isn't it? Now this arrangement should surprise no one. There is no publically disclosed evidence that Trump violated any laws. Sputnik reports: "When asked directly by a journalist, Putin admitted that he wanted Trump to win the election in the hope that he would normalize relations between Russia and the US." So should any sensible American concur with this objective?

Regretfully, the permanent establishment and their technocrat servants at the Council of Foreign Relations and hundreds of other think tanks are committed to the removal of President Trump from office. The political assassins of the Trump revolution have their offices within the Beltway. Targeting Putin as the latest face of malevolence is the typical tactic used to demonize any threat to the State Department jingoists.

The Times of Israel never misses an opportunity to trash any country or leader who does not do the bidding of the tribe. They quote that lame duck Paul Ryan in Top US Republican to Trump: ‘Russia is not our ally’.

"Paul Ryan, the top Republican in the US House of Representatives, calls on President Donald Trump on Monday to accept that Russia is not an ally of the United States, and must be held accountable for meddling in the 2016 election.

“The president must appreciate that Russia is not our ally,” Ryan says, after Trump refused to criticize President Vladimir Putin in a joint press conference, following their Helsinki summit.

“There is no moral equivalence between the United States and Russia, which remains hostile to our most basic values and ideals,” Ryan, the House speaker, says in a statement.

“The United States must be focused on holding Russia accountable and putting an end to its vile attacks on democracy.”

Speaker Ryan has been clueless his entire Congressional career. Statements from minority Senate Leader, Charles Schumer outlines 4-step plan to stand up to Russia are just as demented.

Schumer's ask of the GOP:

1.    Increase sanctions against Russia.

2.    Demand that the president's national security team that accompanied him to the Russia summit testify before Congress about what happened.

3.    End all attacks on the Justice Department, the FBI and Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Schumer said it's also time for Trump to sit down for an interview with Mueller.

4.    Demand that Trump insists the 12 Russians named in last week's indictment be sent to the U.S. to stand trial.

Both party leaders forget that the President is the final decision maker in foreign policy. The incoming flack that Trump is getting suggests that neither Putin nor Trump will be lauded for their summit meeting. The mainstream press will be piling on to lump both leaders as straying from the script and cannot be trusted. Putting their respective countries FIRST and on a path of self-interest poses a dangerous confrontation for the NWO. The master of an artful deal is a policy of a lasting peace that all can support.
