Tory Election Landslide, Labour Decapitation Bloodbath
ElectionOracle / UK General Election May 31, 2017 - 04:32 AM GMTIf the opinion pollsters are to be believed and the Labours worst nightmare comes true with Theresa May winning the election on an vastly increased majority, on a total of over 400 seats. A bloodbath for Labour losing as many as 60 seats, falling from 229 to under 170 resulting in the decapitation of the Labour party, losing many of Labours front benchers and rising stars, leaving behind mostly old dinosaurs who have long passed their electoral hay day.
So whilst the individual polls continue to gyrate all over the place as the polling industry and the mainstream media that commissions them attempt to paint a picture of a tight election race so as to garner public interest in the stories they sell to the masses. Nevertheless the average of the polls continues to paint a picture of the Conservatives sitting on a huge 13% electoral advantage over Labour, as compared to the 2015 election 6% lead.
Which basically puts all Labour MP's on majorities of 5,000 or less at risk, especially in constituencies that have a large number of UKIP voters, that include prominent Labour MP's such as Liz Kendall, Mary Creagh,Caroline Flint, Tristam Hunt and Deputy Leader Tom Watson. Though Jeremy Corbyn is safe.
So if the bloodbath materialised the impact of which could further cripple the Labour party for another decade.
And here are the seats per party forecasts based on the local election results and the opinion pollsters
