It appears as if the SPX has made an impulse from its top. This is very tight, but a decline beneath 2270 would give us some comfort with that call. This appears to be a repeat of where we were last Friday with a potential aggressive short entry. Some Elliotticians look for this type of entry, since it also puts a limit on losses when wrong.

Putting a stop at 2276.00 on today’s move took some investors out with less than three points to go. It is always difficult to judge that stop limit, but I assigned it at the 78.6% retracement. It appears that the algos look for these stops just to make trading a miserable experience.

NDX needed this ramp to complete its Wave [v] fractal. It now appears complete and this may also be an aggressive short candidate.

Although I have been burned multiple times trading the BKX ETFs, the also appears to be complete. By the looks of it, this may be a classic, buy the rumor and sell the news event for the three banks that reported this morning.
