The Deplorables Have A Message

Politics

European Commission president Jean-Claude Junger just made a speech in which he said the following about President Elect Trump: “We will need to teach the president-elect what Europe is and how it works…”

What an arrogant, condescending, pretentious, pompous, ninny. Seems that Mr. Junger needs to learn about the real america and it ain’t the sissy-pants, college campus, socialists he has been talking to. Allow me the opportunity to help out Mr. Junger to better his understanding of the Trump phenomena.

First, the 2016 election was not so much about Donald Trump as it was a rejection of the current path of america. It could have been Donald Trump or Donald Duck or Donald the plumber. I think voters in most states voiced a desire for change. Period. It should be noted that Mr. Trump’s political party, the republicans, won both the House and the Senate as well.

Second, Mr. Trump was elected to send a message to the world. Mr. Junger, if you will set your gaze due west you might see the message. Maybe you will have to stand on a chair but it will be worth it. Do you see it? Yes, that object you see rising from the american back country is a giant middle finger. And Mr. Junger, it is pointed directly at world politicians and bureaucrats like yourself.

Why the finger?

Let’s look at an example of why half the voting population backed Mr. Trump.

Stanford University in California just witnessed a demonstration on campus protesting Mr. Trump’s election. Professors and students alike participated. This is where one wants to pull up a chair and make some popcorn. The college campus clown show gets funnier every day.

The demonstrators raised a specific idea of making their campus a sanctuary for people in the country who are not of legal status. If I were the president, I would make it so. Since they volunteered, I would have immigration deport those who are engaged in criminal activities and send them to Stanford. Students would be required to house the immigrants in their dorms, share their food, clothes, and resources. Professors would be required to teach an extra two or three classes for these immigrants at no charge. Current students would be required to serve as tutors. And, the professors would be required to learn the language of the immigrants.

Of course, it seems utterly ridiculous that a campus like Stanford would raise the issue of discrimination, diversity, and inclusion.

First, the school charges $64,000 per year for tuition and boarding. That’s for just one year! I don’t suppose they get a lot of diverse poor people applying at Stanford. One might question why the tuition would be so high at Stanford? The tuition is high for the same reason country clubs charge so much for admission. It is to keep the rif-raf out and on the other side of their golden gates. One might even say this is discrimination at its cruelest.

Second, the school only accepts some 5% of applicants. Well, aren’t they picky and very discriminatory about who they let in. A 95% rejection rate smacks in the face of all that diversity and inclusion they chant about.

Third, the academic requirements are stringent. The school only looks to accept the highest achieving students with the best grades and the best SAT scores. Students that don’t have the privilege of attending better high schools are generally excluded from Stanford’s selective process.

So, this is just another example of the elite trying to tell the rest of us what to do.

This has led to Californian Senator Boxer introducing legislation to terminate the Electoral College method of presidential elections. The Electoral College system was put in place to keep the states with large populations, like California, from imposing their efforts on the rest of the country. Ms. Boxer better hurry, though. Californians are moving to other states in larger numbers than those migrating in from elsewhere.

California, it should be noted, is home to some one-third of US welfare recipients and boasts of the highest poverty rate in the US according to US economic census. Yeah, the rest of us want to be like California.

In the 2016 presidential election, Mr. Trump won two-thirds of the states by majority vote and thus the electoral college votes.

Mr. Trump, someone else needs to see our middle finger again!
