Nice Stock Market Session for Wall Street Indeed

The day started out with a gap up from the get-go, extending the gains, and then consolidating. When the S&P 500 went to higher-highs at 2080, the NDX failed to break out, they pulled back midafternoon, but not too badly. They then came on again, got up to 4560 Nasdaq 100, and 2083 S&P 500.
Net on the day, the Dow was up 187.03 at 17,908.20. The S&P 500 was up 20.70 to 2082.42, a point off the high. The Nasdaq 100 was up 58.68 to 4554.72.
Advance-declines were nearly 4 to 1 positive on the New York Stock Exchange, and 4 to 1 positive on the Nasdaq. Up/down volume was 3 to 1 positive on New York, total volume of over 4 billion shares traded. The Nasdaq traded 1.9 billion shares and had a 4 1/2 to 1 positive volume ratio.
TheTechTrader.com board was nearly all green. Priceline.com (PCLN) was up 17.48 to 1317.76, Google Inc. (GOOG) up 8.63 to 751.72, Apple Inc. (AAPL) up 1.60 to 112.04, Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) 11.65 to 614.82, and Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) 2.67 to 109.65.
Baidu, Inc. increased 6.58 to 193.98, First Solar, Inc. (FSLR) gained 1.31 to 61.65, but Facebook, Inc. (FB) was down a dime to 110.51.
Tesla Motors, Inc. (TSLA) jumped 6.71 to 254.53.
The biotech’s had a good day with Intrexon Corporation (XON) up 2.70 to 35.69, Juno Therapeutics Inc. (JUNO) popped 1.13 to 43.09.
The Direxion Daily S&P Biotech Bull 3X ETF (LABU) advanced 2.37 to 34.78
Shutterstock, Inc. (SSTK), a swing trade of ours, ran 1.86 to 38.57.
There were no losses as much as a point on our board today.
Checking the TheTechTrader.com percent-gain leaderboard, Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (LSCC) pushed up 99 cents to 6.36, or 18%, on 8.7 million shares traded on an investment. Sientra, Inc, (SIEN), a new swing trade, had an interesting day, up 65 cents to 8.13, or 9%.
Repros Therapeutics Inc. (RPRX) was a knock-out winner today, up 1.43 to 2.25, or 175%, on 28 million shares traded. EMCORE Corporation (EMKR) bounced 1.00 to 6.08, or 20%, on 1.8 million shares traded. Argos Therapeutics, Inc. (ARGS) advanced 1.36 to 9.52, or 16%.
GoPro, Inc. (GPRO) had a stellar day, up 2.22 to 13.90, or 19%, on 20.5 million shares traded. Joy Global, Inc. (JOY) climbed 2.62 to 18.40, or 17%, on 4.1 million shares traded. Fitbit Inc. (FIT) closed up 1.86 to 17.01, or 12%, on 22 million shares traded. Ebix Inc. (EBIX), another one of our swing trades. exploded 4.00 to 41.71, or 11%.
Stepping back and reviewing the hourly chart patterns, the indices gapped up in the morning, ran hard, consolidated until midday when they came on again to finish near the upper end of the range.
