The Force Awakens Star Wars U.S. Evil Empire vs Islamic JEhaDI Rebels?

Politics

The Star Wars franchise has returned with a block buster movie 'The Force Awakens' that once more pits a resurgent technologically advanced First Order Evil Empire against the religiously motivated but lightly armed desert dwelling JEhaDI warriors in an apparent war that involves the fulfillment of ancient prophecies.

Whilst many commentators, especially in the U.S. are bending over backwards in an attempt to make the story fit with the United States as being the Rebel democracy and the First Order Empire as a terrorist army i.e. attempting to try and match the reality of 2015 America so as to make Fox News brainwashed movie goers feel good about living in the benevolent U.S. Empire, that apparently only tends to drop nice bombs onto civilians. However, it is just not possible to succeed in painting the United States and it's Allies as anything other than being akin to the Star Wars Evil Empire, the 'New World Order'. Whilst in the original series Russia could have been painted as such. However, today the best fit for the Evil Empire IS the United States given it's huge military industrial complex churning the worlds most advanced weapons of mass destruction (death stars). That has it's military fighting numerous wars with out end right across the world, patrolling the world's oceans with 'death star' air craft carriers threatening all those who appose with wars of total annihilation backed by an arsenal of over 10,000 nukes. Where today the war for total annihilation is against the JEhaDI's such as ISIS and the Taliban in Afghanistan and all those who resist the U.S. Empire.

For just as with the Star Wars movies, no matter how hard the U.S. Empire tries with it's 'death star' aircraft carriers raining death and destruction down on a series of nations such as Iraq, Afghanistan and today Syria, it is just not possible to defeat JEhaDI religious ideologies through bombing that just tend to keep springing up somewhere else.

Of course personally, like most people I would infinitely prefer to live under the U.S. / British Empire as I presume most of the people in the Star Wars Universe would given a choice choose the stability and relative prosperity that the Empire brought, as whilst the movie may paint the original Star Wars Rebels as the 'good guys' the reality would be probably one of blood thirsty religious zealots, obsessed by prophecies and reliance on ancient religious myths, much as today's JEhaDI warriors are, who in our world to the U.S. Empire are terrorists, just as in the Star Wars universe the rebels are terrorists to the Evil Empire.

However, do not confuse one as being good and the other as being as evil, the facts are that given the millions of dead that the U.S. Empire has wrought, though perhaps not as evil as all of the other potential wannabe evil empires out there. Never mind the extremism of the likes of Islamic State that hopes to replicate 7th century ideology in the 21th century. For there lurk other evil empires ready to grab hold of power such as Russia, Turkey. China, and France to name just four out of dozens.

So in our world the battle is not between a U.S. evil empire fighting it out against the JEhaDI warriors. Rather for most ordinary people it is a case of sustaining life under a degree of freedom under the U.S. / British Empire vs fascist religious ideologies and wannabe totalitarian empires such as Russia and China. I know which most people of the world see is the better of a number of bad choices.

Nevertheless as 2015 draws to an end and one looks at the prospects for the Not as evil as it could be U.S. Empire for 2016. In which case there is a real risk that the United States could see itself plunge further towards the dark side as increasingly a Darth Trump Presidency is looking possible.

Instead, of the Star Wars propaganda of the mainstream media, today's reality is the near exact opposite, one of intelligence agencies that seek to literally control what people think as they wage a relentless continuous war for global dominance that literally creates the likes of ISIS to support the expansion of their scope for interfering in every aspect of ordinary peoples lives.

The bottom line is that the United States is an evil empire, it's just that all of the alternatives would be much worse! Even a British Empire would be worse, let alone a German, French, Italian, Russian, Indian, Chinese, Japanese and that's before we get to the religious fruit cakes such as Israel, Iran, Saudi Arabia and of course Islamic State. And on that note some religion, after all it is Christmas -
