Do Democrats Favor Banning Corporate Profits?
ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election 2012 Sep 07, 2012 - 03:41 AM GMTNoted author and economist Peter Schiff went to the Democratic National Convention to find out.
In an extensive range of interviews with delegates and attendees at the Democratic National Convention, radio show host and free-market economist Peter Schiff found a number of people who actually support the idea. Posing as an anti-business crusader, Peter spoke to a wide range of DNC attendees who support adding a plank to the Democratic platform that would explicitly outlaw or cap profitability.
Considering the widening partisan gap between the two major parties, it is particularly alarming to note the Democrats' growing hostility toward the corporate sector. The anti-capitalist undercurrents on display in this clip should rightly shock those who still believe that America's economic successes have been built on a bedrock of free enterprise. If these ideas grow beyond the top ranks of the Democratic party then America's economic future will be a dim prospect.
