Stock Market Run Run Away / Stock-Markets / Stock Markets 2010

By: Toby_Connor

Diamond Rated - Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleLast week I hypothesized that the markets are  “On the Brink of an Asset Explosion”.  If this is going to play out then we can probably expect to see runaway moves develop in virtually all assets soon.

The rally out of the `06 bottom to the February `07 mini crash is a classic example of a runaway move (chart below).  Note the brief measured corrections.  Needless to say, if something like this develops soon, one doesn’t want to get caught on the bearish side of the tracks.

Fed Keeps The Cheap Money Tap Running / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2010

By: PaddyPowerTrader

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleLeading into the release of the US Federal Reserve minutes yesterday evening, the unknown was what the wording of the statement would be like. Some traders were afraid that the Fed would ease back on its promise to keep rates low for an “extended period”. But in the end, the market bulls got what they wanted as the statement included the sentence “are likely to warrant exceptionally low levels of the federal funds rate for an extended period.” (For a second consecutive meeting, Kansas City Fed Pres Hoenig dissented, saying that the “extended period” is no longer warranted).

My YouTube Stock Market Sentiment Index / Stock-Markets / Stock Market Sentiment

By: Steven_Vincent

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleI take my trading and market analysis very seriously. But once in a while you have to let your hair down (what's left of it, anyway) and have a little fun.

I had noticed that on YouTube it seemed that bearishly apocalyptic market and economic analysis (most of which should be referred to as "analysis") received far more views than bullish or neutral postings. I also noticed that such videos would receive many concurring comments and favorable ratings while bullish analysis was frequently targeted for denigration.

Global Stocks Bull Market Gathering Steam / Stock-Markets / Stock Markets 2010

By: Puru_Saxena

The ongoing bull-market in global stocks is gathering steam and over the past few days, the momentum has shifted in favour of the West.  Yesterday, the S&P500 Index closed at a 17-month high and we expect further gains over the following weeks.  Over in Asia, our preferred markets are performing well, with India leading the way.  Furthermore, it seems to us as though China and Vietnam are also about to commence another upleg within their primary uptrends.  Given the fact that the Asian economies are in a much better shape than the West, we continue to believe that stocks in India, China and Vietnam will produce solid growth over the course of this business cycle.  Therefore, we are holding on to our positions and believe that near-term weakness represents a buying opportunity.

Stock Market Oscillators Extremely Overbought...Market Very Strong..... / Stock-Markets / Stock Markets 2010

By: Jack_Steiman

We are in a bull market. This isn't news to anyone by now. We've been in from the lows and have ridden this puppy all the way up. However, there comes a time in the evolution of a bull market where you have to start reining it in. It doesn't mean you can't be in some or in good set ups but it does mean that entering more plays from this point forward carries extreme risk for the short term. Not the medium term, the short term. The S&P 500 broke through 1151 today with some decent force and may want a bit higher before selling to retest but let's go over the RSI's and stochastics on the daily charts across the major index charts.

All Eyes on the Fed / Stock-Markets / Stock Markets 2010

By: Steve_Betts

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleThe Fed is meeting today and that’s all we’ll hear about on the financial news networks as they hang on every word in the statement fashioned from the get-together. There have been inklings that the Fed is now considering how they’ll siphon liquidity from the system and a lot of analysts will be looking for indications as to how that will happen. Two weeks ago the idea was floated that the Fed would use reverse repos’ to get the job done, but the market was not impressed.

Financial Market Investors & Traders Beware The Ides of March / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2010

By: Steve_Betts

Best Financial Markets Analysis Article“Beware the Ides of March”, Soothsayer to Julius Caesar

Last night the Chinese market treaded water with little change and I would like to continue the discussion started over the weekend with respect to the US’s largest creditor. China’s recent stimulus package was instrumental in preventing a major slowdown in their export sector as the world economy cooled. Now they are busy reigning in an economy that is growing at more

It's Time to Invest in Canada / Stock-Markets / Canadian Stock Market

By: Money_Morning

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleMartin Hutchinson writes: This isn't the first time that I've written about Canada, a well-run country that has avoided many of the mistakes made by the United States. Its budget deficit is moderate, its balance-of-payments deficit is also small, its banking system is in pretty good shape and it faces very little inflation risk, since the country has maintained a reasonable monetary policy.

Stock Market Buying Power Pushes Rally to New High / Stock-Markets / Stock Markets 2010

By: Money_Morning

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleJon D. Markman writes: Checking in with the volume experts over at Lowry Research Corp., it appears that U.S. stock market buying power hit a new rally high last week, while selling pressure hit a new low.

That reflects the same pattern of expanding demand and contracting supply that has characterized the entire rally out of the March 2009 lows - a rally that's now one year old.

Wealthbuilder Quarterly Stock Market Brief and McDonald's MLD Stock Pick / Stock-Markets / Stock Markets 2010

By: Christopher_Quigley

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleThe American stock market is still working through a consolidation phase following the magnificent run up since March of last year. The Dow transports have presented us with a new Dow buy signal but so far the Industrials have unconfirmed. The Dow 30 needs to break the 10,700 range convincingly before I will advise student clients to re-enter the market through their virtual portfolios.

How Is Credit Created? What is the Best Public Banking / Stock-Markets / Credit Crisis 2010

By: Washingtons_Blog

Diamond Rated - Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleThis is an open letter to the economics, finance and banking communities.

I don't have any dog in the fight, other than to figure out and then publicize what is best for the greatest number of people. People I greatly respect advocate for federal-level public banking, state public banks or a return to the gold standard. I am simply attempting to start a high-level debate about what the best option is.

Stock Market Buying The Dip..... / Stock-Markets / Stock Markets 2010

By: Jack_Steiman

The market started to sell today. Finally!! We started fairly flat but then started heading down with the Nasdaq leading the way, which made sense since it has been the leader on the way up in this bull market. What leads up is the most overbought thus it's likely that it'll lead down to unwind those oscillators. However, a funny thing happened, yet again, when this market tried to sell off. It couldn't stand the selling. Very unusual to say the least. This market was at extreme levels of overbought coming in to today thus when it started to sell it made sense that the selling would stick and it seemed that it would. A few buying attempts were thwarted down by the bears, making today seem as if it would be a trend down day.

Stock Market Constructive Pullback Could Create Buying Opportunities / Stock-Markets / Stock Markets 2010

By: David_Grandey

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleThe S&P 500 hit resistance at 1150 last week and is now pulling back. It's all about the trend channels at this point.

Bottom line this overbought condition when viewing the 60 minute charts gets worked off by either going sideways or a pullback to trend channel support.

When Stock Market Fiction Meets Economic Reality / Stock-Markets / Stock Markets 2010

By: Captain_Hook

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleThere is no end to speculation concerning the stock market at present, with everything from credible crash calls to major gold stock rallies lying directly ahead. So the question begs, as fortunes are at stake, which view is correct – which view is fiction and which is reality? In my view, and although more upside might indeed exist for stocks prior to a reckoning (due to the lagged effects of money supply growth), the fiction that has become our reality, which is our fiat currency economy, is now hitting the wall in terms of constraints, which will be the stock market’s undoing.
