Rhodium Commodity Trading Thoughts / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Ned_W_Schmidt

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleRHODIUM TRADING THOUGHTS is about  timely and profitable trading of precious metals. We do not believe every turn in the market can be called. Our goal is that our recommendations should be profitable.  Profits are the goals, not trades. Do not expect all recommendations to be profitable. No system can achieve that lofty goal.

Hurricane Season Crude Oil and Natural Gas Profits / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Sean_Brodrick

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleThe 2010 Atlantic hurricane season officially starts on June 1. But smart traders are already gearing up. The Gulf of Mexico is responsible for 13% of the U.S. natural gas production (and 30% of its domestic crude oil production). A strong hurricane — or two — hitting in the wrong place could knock some of that production offline. And just the possibility of that happening could put a bid into energy prices when and if the first hurricanes form off the coast of Africa.

Earlier this month, two offshore production platforms in the Gulf of Mexico were shut as a safety precaution against the spreading oil slick from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. But that’s not the real threat.

Copper Again Struggles at 76.4% Resistance / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Seven_Days_Ahead

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleIn early 2010 the recovery in Copper (COMEX) was halted by a long term 76.4% retracement level, although the ensuing pullback proved short-lived. More recently this resistance has been tested again, and again the reaction has been negative.

The Moment of Truth Video for Gold, Silver, Oil and SP500 / Stock-Markets / Commodities Trading

By: Chris_Vermeulen

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleIt has been an exciting couple weeks with the stock market slowly forming its top before breaking down this week. New Upleg for UltraLong Oil and Gas DIG ETF? / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Mike_Paulenoff

The hourly candlestick chart of the ProShares Ultra Long Oil & Gas ETF (NYSE: DIG) shows the August rally period, which exhibits bullish form from the August 17 pivot low at 26.43 to the August 25 high at 31.60. After that rally, let’s notice that the pullback to 29.04 yesterday represents an almost exact 50% correction of the prior advance before yesterday afternoon’s initiation of a new upleg.

Bullish Green Shoots in EUA Carbon Emissions / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Seven_Days_Ahead

For the best part of a year a consolidation pattern has been unfolding in the EUA (ICE ECX) contract, activity quietening down notably this year. Bears have proved unable to drive the market below key support and, now, an interesting upside break is in process.

Technical Trading Setups on Gold, Silver, Oil and Natural Gas ETF’s / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Chris_Vermeulen

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleThis week has been playing out as expected with prices grinding their way higher and lots of sharp intraday sell offs and rallies which is indicative of a market getting toppy.

Seems like the masses feel as though they are getting left behind which is why we are starting to see the panic buying in the market (new money buying at these lofty overbought prices).

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleEarlier this year the game looked as though it was up for Cotton bulls, but fresh interest created new highs. A temporary halt has now been made, within a projection area that we had identified in the Commodity Specialist Guide, but can this develop into something more bearish?

Metal Tiger… / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: HRA_Advisory

A sign of the times is seen in the deal the CME Group (CME-N), umbrella for the Chicago and NYMEX commodity bourses, is buying 90% of the Dow Jones index system from News Corporation (NWS-Q).  The traditional newspaper business is having a tough go competing with the internet, which prompts the sale.  One could argue this is another example of the commodities space taking up some of the ground opened by the past decade’s bear market for equities.

Commodity Ratios, The Investing Truth They Reveal / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Dr_Jeff_Lewis

As gold prices near new highs, some are calling gold's skyrocket success a bubble.  However, informed investors are seeing it differently; gold is not much more expensive than its 1980 levels, even despite runaway growth in the money supply over the past 30 years.
