Will Obama Earn His Nobel Prize and Abstain Palestine Vote; Or Play For Re-Election?
Politics / US Politics Sep 24, 2011 - 02:38 AM GMTI was never quite clear about why President Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize?
I think it was something to do with the concept that he “supported” the idea that America should go along with the idea that the Geneva Convention is a bit more of a big deal than “quaint”. That’s an interesting concept, Adolf Hitler thought the Geneva Convention was “quaint”, but I’m not sure that Angela Merkel is going to get the Nobel Prize.
Meanwhile Obama is totally screwed, he can’t get any bills he wants passed, his Big Idea of “consensus” makes him look spineless, and pretty soon it looks like the politically incorrect idea of the inadvisability of hiring a Luo (as opposed to a Kikuyu), to do anything more complicated than being a house-boy, is going to become conventional wisdom.
So Mr. President, what you got to lose? You got blamed for the lunacy of the Republican War, you got blamed for not solving the insanity of George Bush’s economic policies, and now you have been castrated by the Republican Congress.
So, for once in your life, stand up for something you know is right, even if it’s unpopular with your lobbyists. Bin Laden attacked America because of that policy, the Taliban are fighting because of that policy; perhaps it’s time to just “CHANGE”.
You might be surprised; perhaps a lot of Americans are tired of paying for the War To Defend Israel at all cost.
