BP and the "End Times"?
Politics / Environmental Issues Jul 01, 2010 - 05:51 AM GMT
I am not much into "the End Times" prediction, as so many have been predicted in the past and obviously have failed to materialise, but the BP Oil catastrophe in the Gulf has given me some pause to think about some well-known world predictions of the end of times, all of which have proven remarkably enduring.
We all know the Mayan prophecy, which says the end of the world is in 2012. (Specifically, 21/12/2012). Or at least that is when their calendar stops and they had the most accurate calendar ever made by any civilization, even until quite recently, with our computers and atomic clocks!
And the Hopi Indians have a series of nine prophesies, all of which have to occur before the end of time, and so far six of them have occurred. One of their prophecies (the seventh) says: "You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it."
The remaining two say: "You will see many youth, who wear their hair long like my people, come and join the tribal nations, to learn their ways and wisdom." (this is happening, and has been happening for some time)
The last ninth one is: "You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease."
(this might be the space station falling to earth)
And, in the Book of Revelation, guess what is the verse that describes the Last Judgment? 20:12!
And in the Gulf, the oil on the surface is not all black (as is normal with oil), but is coming up as a reddish brown (like congealed blood found in a corpse), and nobody can explain why!
In Revelation, 8:8–11. “The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea became blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed … A third of the waters became wormwood, and many died from the water, because it was made bitter.”
(BP are "burning with fire" the oil on the sea; about a third of the sea area in the Gulf is turning onto this blood-colored goo and nobody can explain why, since this hasn't happened in other spills).
In Revelation, 16:23 it refers to “The second angel poured his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing in the sea died.”
If you've ever seen the blood of a corpse, the reddish brown and congealed globs that are all over the Gulf now, look remarkably like corpse blood!
There are several scientists who are now saying that there's a real possibility that this "leak" is in fact a sort of volcanic eruption of an enormous underground sea of oil, which might extend to the whole of the underneath of the Atlantic Ocean, which it will be utterly impossible to stop!
You may draw your own conclusions, but I must say, this isn't looking that good!
