Powell Gave Congress Dovish Signs. Will It Help Gold Price? / Commodities / Gold and Silver 2021

Powell admits that inflation is well above the Fed’s target, but he still considers it transitory. Gold increased in response – only to fall again.Last week, Powell testified before Congress. On the one hand, Powell admitted in a way that inflation had reached a level higher than expected and is above the level accepted by the Fed in the longer run:
Inflation has increased notably and will likely remain elevated in coming months before moderating.
It means that the Fed was surprised by high inflation, but it doesn’t want to admit it explicitly. Instead, Powell admitted that inflation would likely stay at a high level for some time. The obvious question here is: why should we believe the Fed that inflation will really moderate later this year, given that the US central bank failed in forecasting inflation in the first half of 2021?

For the duration of this crypto bear market the so called crypto experts that populate Youtube, vested interest in their HODL psychosis have seen every dip to buy more and that the bottom was in, and so was the response to the latest dive lower to below BTC $30k, with the moronic response across the broad spectrum of crypto youtube channels proclaiming it to be another buying opportunity just as has been the case for the past 30,000 points drop to date! The reality is that whilst they are good at producing youtube videos, gathering millions of views but in reality they don't have a clue of how to actually analyse markets hence the example of the WYCOFF pattern endlessly regurgitated that in reality has no more value in forecasting trends than a COIN FLIP!. And then you have the crypto shills, selling their garbage scam coins such as Tech Lead's ,Million token alt scam coin videos pumping for liquidity to an extreme, with every video now with a click bait title "My wife left me for Bitcoin, Please Buy My Scam Coin" etc. Just focused on pumping their Alt garbage coins.

Killing Driveway Weeds FAST with a Pressure Washer - 8 months Later - Did it work?- Block Paving Weeds / Personal_Finance / Home Maintenance

Over 8 months ago I used a Karcher K7 pressure washer to blast the weeds away on our weed infested drive way, since when many have commented that it would not last and that the weeds would soon return, well here 8 months on is the state of our driveway to show the extent of the return of the weeds, to see if this is a good way to get rid of weeds for decent amount of time all without using a single drop of chemicals.
Again the block paving was covered with weeds and too much to use a wire brush to scrub them out so I used our new pressure washer for the first time on full power hoping that it would work, else the power washer would be heading back to amazon. And it did the job at them time all the weeds were gone!

My initial attempts some years ago at feeding raw financial data such as PE ratios, EBITA, PEG into neural nets failed to deliver anything useful, clearly it was not going to be that easy! What's required is to preprocess the data to make the various inputs better gel together rather than producing noise which means input from human intelligence (me) to preprocess the data before training the neural nets, and so was born what I call the Expensive / Cheap (EC) Indicator that includes 15 stock financial indicators all fine tuned manually to resolve in better being able to discriminate between stocks in fundamental valuation terms, add price to that to become 16 inputs. that have been preprocessed as per their formulation into the EC indicator.

Inflation surged in May, and some worry that it has already reached its peak. Has it indeed? This issue is key for the Fed and the gold market.Inflation has soared recently. The CPI annual rate surged 5% in May, which was the fastest jump since the Great Recession. However, the Fed officials still maintain that inflation will only be temporary. Some of the analysts even claim that inflation has already peaked, and it will decelerate from now on. Are they right?
Well, they present a few strong arguments. First, there is no doubt that the recent rise in prices has been partially caused by the problems with the supply chains. But, luckily, the bottlenecks are short-lived phenomena, and they always resolve themselves, i.e., by the magic of market mechanism. The best example may be lumber prices which were skyrocketing earlier this year but which have recently declined, as production surged in response to rallying prices.

Nissan to Create 1000s of jobs with electric vehicle investment in UK / Companies / Auto Sector

Nissan is set to give the UK its first electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing base with the expected announcement of the country’s first “gigafactory” in Sunderland. The futuristic sounding gigafactory – which is the name given to any facility where EV manufacturers can produce batteries for their cars – will create thousands of jobs in the Sunderland area, but perhaps more poignantly give the UK a much-needed boost in an EV race in which it is fast falling behind.
The government has pledged an undisclosed contribution to the project – which is expected to cost hundreds of millions of pounds – such is the importance of the move. The introduction of the factory ties in with the UK’s wider green initiatives, which includes the upcoming ban of new petrol and diesel cars in 2030 as part of the government’s sustainable ten-point plan.

Bitcoin Halving's Price Projection Forecasts Trend Trajectory / Currencies / Bitcoin

The supply of bitcoin is capped at 21 million coins. Imagine what would happen to the price of Gold if no more Gold could be mined, that's the trend trajectory that Bitcoin appears to be on i.e. there will come a time when NO MORE bitcoin can be mined!
So the simplest thing to do would be to to buy bitcoin when cheap and forget about it for a decade or so and then likely see a return of X10 that which one paid for it.
Total bitcoins mined to date number 18,700,000, 210,000 blocks will be mined from May 2020 to roughly March 2024, totaling 1.3 million bitcoins, which implies a total of 20 million bitcoins by the time of the next halving of rewards for miners to 3.125 bitcoin rewards per block mined (block rewards to miners is how the block chain works).
