Bitcoin Price Rallies Above $28,300 – Is This The Peak? / Currencies / Bitcoin

We hope you enjoyed the brief holiday break… it seems Bitcoin has been busy while the markets have been resting! Bitcoin enthusiasts are adamant that the price rally has just started a parabolic move higher.  From a technical standpoint, this current rally certainly appears to have gone parabolic.  As any trader already understands, what goes up may eventually come crashing downward.

My research team and I believe failure at the current highs would represent a clear technical divergence pattern between price and the RSI indicator. Additionally, the current rally that started on December 20 consists of a $10,850 rally phase.  The previous rally that took place from October 20 to December 2 consisted of a $9,200 rally phase.  We believe this current rally phase from December 11 could be a Wave 5 rally (almost equal to the Wave 3 rally range).  If our researchers are correct, this final rally phase could come crashing downward after reaching these peak levels above $28,000.

Why Solar and Wind Energy Can’t Save Us / Commodities / Energy Resources

Recently, British Petroleum (BP) went public in declaring that “peak oil demand” was reached in 2019. According to the oil major’s 2020 outlook, global oil demand will not regain levels reached last year, and that demand could soon fall rapidly, due to stronger climate action by countries, by at least 10% over the next 10 years, and up to 50% by 2040.

Demand for the fossil fuel has doubled over the past 50 years, reaching around 100 million barrels of oil per day (bopd) in 2019.

While earlier editions of BP’s outlook stated that global demand would continue rising steadily, peaking in the mid-2030s, the latest version sees the decline as much more dramatic, with peak demand already reached in 2019, and either slowing down or plateauing over the next three decades.

The magnitude of the fall in demand depends on the degree to which global carbon emissions are addressed/ cut by governments and industry.

Stock markets are soaring on the back of vaccines that herald the end game to the Covid nightmare that as I speak is hitting new highs in the US and fast worsening second peaks across Europe. SPX Intermediate trend:  New intermediate uptrend underway since 2234.

The Great Google Crash - Chinese Cyber Attacks Could Trigger More Global Outages During 2021 / Companies / Google

ALL Google services globally went dark on the morning of 14th of December 2020. That's Gmail, Youtube, Drive, Hangouts and Search ceased to function with users unable to log into accounts. All this whilst a pandemic had forced many millions of workers to work form home. The outage started at 11.50am GMT and continued for over an hour before users could once more log in and start to work.

This global outage brought home the extent to which we have all become reliant on Google services which through accident or design could reek havoc across the globe, especially giving the ongoing US / China brewing conflicts that undoubtedly will spill over into cyber space.

Last year, I published a ‘What To Expect In 2020’ article that everyone seemed to enjoy.  We published this article to help investors and traders prepare for what we believed was going to be an incredibly volatile 2020.  Last year our conclusions was:

“Be prepared for a surprising spike in volatility in early 2020 with a moderately strong potential for an early 2020 downside price rotation which prompts a new price trend and possibly an early test of support (near 280 on the SPY chart).  2020 is going to be a fantastic year for skilled traders – get ready for some incredible price action. “

The recent rally in Bitcoin is strangely similar to the rally that took place in 2017.  Although the range of price throughout the rally is somewhat different, the structure of price throughout the rally phase is very similar.  Our researchers believe this similarity suggests a peak may be forming in Bitcoin and the big volume on Monday, December 21, 2020, may have represented a “blow-off peak” in price.
