Wondering what's the clothing trend this 2019 from around the globe?

ELLE UK has listed down the seven fashion trends that they predict to be big in 2019. Other big labels and fashion houses also shared their predictions for the biggest international trends this year.

So, what will be the choice of clothing of a trendy individual this 2019?

Neo Boho

Also called hippy modernism, this trend combines crochet pieces, items with crashing geometric prints, raffia accessories, amulet jewelry, scarf dresses, artisan knits, and frigging.

The trend takes you back to the hippie styles of the 60s and 70s without looking old and outdated.

Floral prints

This style has been around for like forever, but it is making its mark once again. What's different this 2019 is that floral prints will not be limited to tops and jackets but will also migrate to pants.

As soon as the weather breaks and people can wear shorts sleeves, the trend will start making an appearance.

But why wait when there are leggings and pants with flowers printed on them? Start adopting the trend right now.

Fake Fur

Not just fur used in hoods of jackets but also in gloves, scarves, and other pieces. If you love fur, 2019 will provide you all the fur you need while showing support for an eco-friendly style.

The faux fur industry is taking a positive stance where the environment is concerned. This makes wearing this fashion piece your contribution to going green and stylish at the same time.

Colorful suits

Suits are a wardrobe staple, but they often come in sensible colors like black, navy blue, and neutral shades.

This 2019, suit tailoring will explore the bold, bright, and vibrant shades of the color wheel. Gucci and Chanel introduced suits in orange, yellow, and purple. These can be worn as a full outfit or mixed with pieces of clothing in softer hues.

Bright-colored outfit

It's not only suits that are going bright, what with the fashion industry leaning towards a bright color palette. Don't be surprised to see neon yellow, bright orange and similar shades in many clothing and accessories this year.

Such outfits are predicted to debut in spring and will last throughout the summer.

Layered look

The concept of layering clothes is nothing new on the fashion scene but the Asian market is creating a trend that will take the globe by storm.

The concept?

To layer clothes in order to achieve a mature look. It will be implemented using a lot of different outfits.

The trend is predicted to catch on in Paris and New York.

Low Key utility

This refers to clothes that are equally functional and stylish. It was borne out of the concept of accessomorphosis’ by Virgil Abloh, which means a transformation of wallets and bags into clothing.

This trend is represented by clothes with patch pockets and a with a front-loaded tool belt used instead of a traditional belt. It also brings back cargo pants to the limelight.  

Capes

Primarily an accessory to a winter outfit, capes are taking front and center this 2019 as it combines several trends into one. Fringed capes, for example, satisfy hippy modernism and its use of fringing. It's also the perfect layer for when layering clothes to achieve a mature look.

Capes, however, are unlikely to stay all-year round. So better get in on the trend while the weather is still cooler.   

Square toe shoes

The fashion trend of 2019 is incomplete without new twists on buying shoes and, this year, it's the square toe that is walking back into the fold. Many big names in fashion have already rolled out such footwear, including Eckhaus Latta in collaboration with UGG.

But that's just the most sensible choice of footwear this 2019 because the rest is anything but basic.

Feathers, crystals, and seashells will be incorporated in this year's footwear. And you'll see many toe-ring sandals too. Feathers sticking out of the heels of your sandals may seem a bit much but that's how shoe trend is going to be this 2019.
